Kai
It’s all fun and games until someone gets abducted.
It’s me – I am someone.
Maybe if I’d fluttered my eyelashes a little harder, I’d be straddling a six-foot-two beefcake instead of sitting on a grubby mattress with a chain wrapped around my neck.
Now, I’m not against a bit of bondage, but this certainly isn’t doing it for me.
Trust me to go on the best first date of my life, only to end up in a derelict warehouse.

Note to self: Don’t online date, but if you do, make sure you end the night with a mind-blowing orgasm rather than fighting to survive.
REVIEW:
This one jumps right into things with a somewhat confident and outgoing Kai getting by with his bartending job when he finds himself on a date with Eden. They seem to hit it off, but Eden is a total gentleman and they decide to take things slowly. Unfortunately for them, they end up forced into another situation altogether.
The story mainly centers around their time in captivity which pushes their relationship along at a bit of a quicker pace than originally planned. Things take a different perspective when you’re not sure if you’ll make it through another day or what exactly will happen to you, and these guys are never really given a clear idea of either for quite a while.
I won’t say more about the plot of the story so as not to give too much away. I will say that Kai uses a bit of humor to cope and Eden is the perfect match for him. They have quite a few hurdles to navigate before all is said and done with them each trying to do the right thing for themselves. Thankfully, they realize they can help each other and there’s no need to got it alone.
While this theme is rather dark and violent at times, there is enough humor and heartwarming breadcrumbs strewn about to make it quite enjoyable and wanting to see them through kept me turning pages. Looking forward to the next installment.
