Carson
I’m the Rookie. That’s how they want to label me. The new guy.
But I’m damn good at what I do. I don’t have anything to prove.
Except maybe to him.
I’ve watched his career for years. So yeah, maybe I want to impress him a tiny bit. But I also can’t help riling him up and ruffling his feathers.
He wants me to do things his way, but I don’t work like that.
I may be the Rookie, but I’m about to school the Ace.
Brayden
I’m the Ace. I know what I’m doing, and I can’t stand arrogant newbies who come in, thinking they know it all.
I’ve always hated that. But I’ve never despised anyone more than Carson Hayes when he saunters in like he owns the place.
The kid is good, I’ll give him that. But he has a lot to learn.
I’m the Ace around here, the one everyone goes to when they finally realize they don’t know it all. And the Rookie is about to learn why.
REVIEW:
Name something negative about someone and Brayden has thought them about Carson.
He hates his guts. The guy thinks he owns the tracks, well he doesn’t. He’s just the Rookie!
He also hates his other thoughts.
Carson isn’t blind, he can see how hot Brayden is, and certainly when he’s furious.
He doesn’t understand why the man hates him.
Oh boy, Carson is an arrogant son of a b!tch, Brayden wants to kill him.
Carson is vibrant, with Brayden ten years older, Carson seems a puppy, a happy puppy.
When the real reason reveals why the management added Carson to the team, it pisses Brayden off.
They have to play besties, and bromance, if they don’t follow what is asked of them, they won’t like the outcome.
Gosh, grumpy Brayden is hot, and Carson is an eager puppy.
Before they know they are buddies, with benefits, dang hot I can tell you!
Lines get blurred, colleagues, buddies, f*cking, claiming, feelings, no strings, and they don’t talk.
Yup, that’s asking for trouble.
Oh, did I say certain people on their racing team is a homophobic prick? He so is!
I adored this story, Brayden and Carson were both wonderful characters, the feelings were all over the place and palpable.
The story is quite interesting and written at a fast pace, it’s engaging, and entertaining, it has fun, and sexiness, and nicely crafted!
