Lost In Someone
It only takes one night to turn their lives upside down.
Brodie always thought he was straight, but when he experiences the greatest night of his life it’s with a man. A total stranger. They never even exchanged names. It’s the shake-up he needed. He leaves his job and heads down to his best friend, Merrick. Even if
that night haunts not only his dreams but also his waking thoughts, he’s determined to make a new life in Devon. He can’t have time for regrets.
Ivan had to leave. His best friend, Drew, let him down, his sort of ex shocked him with disturbing news, and he’s sick and tired of easy hook-ups. The only bright light is a chance encounter with the hottest man he’s ever seen, but he wakes up alone and has no way of finding him. Resigned to never seeing him again, Ivan returns home to Calston Cove. An apology to Drew leads to a dinner invitation with a few friends.
And a face he never expected to see again.
Are Brodie and Ivan able to recapture the best night of their lives, or is one night all they’re going to have?
When Ivan’s past comes back, threatening to ruin his relationship with Brodie, are they strong enough together to make things work?
Lost in Someone is a bi-awakening story and book two in the Calston Cove series. It can be read as a stand-alone but is enjoyed more by knowing Drew and Merrick’s story in Life After Love.
REVIEW:
I really loved the first book in this series “Life after Love” (It was one of my Best of 2023 books!) and was eagerly awaiting this next book. Boy did it not disappoint!
Brodie is at a crossroads in his life. His best friend Merrick suddenly sold everything and moved himself and his precious daughter Willow to Calston Cove. It was easy to understand why. The man lost the love of his life to cancer and needed a new beginning. But now Brodie is left in London and questioning his life…especially after that one night a bit ago. Something about his mystery man is making him question everything. So he does the things he needs to do:
- Quit his job ✔️
- Move to Calston Cove to be near his best friend and goddaughter ✔️
- Apologize for being so hard on Drew ✔️
- Think up a new life plan (working on it)
- Tell Merrick about his new found sexual discovery ✔️
- Give up on finding the man he mistakenly left sleeping and never left or got a name and number????
When accepting an invitation to dinner at Drew and Merrick’s, for Merrick’s legendary Lasagna, he had no idea that one of the other guests was the man he has dreamed about nightly since their brief but very memorable encounter. But will they continue where they left off or will this Ivan just brush it off as the one-night stand that Brodie implied by scurrying away in the dark that night?
- M. G. I loved this! I loved that we got more of Drew, Merrick and Willow. I love that we got to know way more about their two best friends that kinda got pushed aside by their new found love. And I really, really love Brodie and Ivan together. They just work for me. They have been basically on their own in life for awhile now and just going through the motions. Their insta-attraction was almost to the level of true mates meeting for the first time. That attraction that is like a magnet pulling them together. Both just knew that the other was the one! I did love that Brodie was all in no matter what happened and that he was rock steady for Ivan. And Ivan may have been a bit of a man slut until he met Brodie and knew that he was the one. But even a man-whore deserved better than what Kate pulled on him. But I’m thankful he did because Milo deserved to be with both Ivan and Brodie.
I am really hoping that we get Trent and Merlin’s story next. I love this series and this was the perfect companion book to the first. Huge thumbs up for me 👍
