My sale book this month, Slow Dreaming was the first book I indie published nearly five years ago, and is a time travel romance set in Wellington.
I’ve always been fascinated by time travel stories, but more about travelling to the past than taking a peek at the future. The Tempus Institute’s agents are supposed to observe different times, and find out the true story behind events.
They’re neve supposed to interfere. You can guess how well that goes in this instance.
Some of the inspiration for this story came from Quantum Leap, and also A Sound of Thunder by Ray Bradbury. There are some hints with that as to why Jason’s really there…
I haven’t finished with the Tempus Institute, and do have more stories planned. All I need is way more hours in my day. After all, there are a few agents who still need their stories told such as Rex, Jason’s ex, and what exactly is James’s story?
Retirement and full time writing – just under four years and counting…

Slow Dreaming is on sale until the end of April, then will increase to its new price of $3.99, so if you haven’t read it already, now is the time to grab it.
A Tempus Institute Story.
Should he change the past for love?
As an agent for the Tempus Institute, Jason Adams’ task is to observe the past, not change it. But when he’s sent to 21st-century Wellington, New Zealand, during the last week of aspiring songwriter Sean Henderson’s life, Jason finds he can’t just watch from a distance. He and Sean quickly become friends and then lovers, and when the song that’s haunted Jason for years connects them in a way he never anticipated, he’ll risk changing history for the chance of sharing a future with Sean.
Author’s note: This story was originally released by another publishing house. This edition has some added content, and uses UK/NZ spelling to reflect its setting.
