CALLIE
After constantly looking over my shoulder as I run for my life, I’m on the brink of giving up.
On happiness.
On love.
On life.
Which is why, when a familiar face shows up where I’m hiding, I shock myself by running again. Though, probably not as shocked as Zeus is when I run him off the road with my car.
For some reason, my survival instinct is stronger than my mind is, and I find myself fighting for the life I’m not even sure I want.
On the run and nowhere to turn, I flee into the arms of the last person I should. Suddenly, I find myself involved in one of the worst crime syndicates in Las Vegas, and no way to get out.
ZEUS
Why would Callie run away from me? I’m delightful, damn it. I mean, sure, he probably thinks I’m trying to kill him, but I’m not. I’ve been hired to make sure he’s okay and that he’s surviving after escaping an abusive relationship, making mistakes, and putting multiple people’s lives in danger.
He screwed up, but he doesn’t deserve to die for it. And now, because of me, his life is at risk yet again.
Technically, my job is done. Callie is still breathing. That’s all I was supposed to find out. But I can’t sit by knowing he’s selling his soul. His body. I need to get him out, and I’ll go to any lengths to do it.

REVIEW:
Zeus is the fourth book in Eden Finley’s exciting Mike Bravo Ops series.
Zeus served his time in the Marines to escape a personal tragedy in his family, and then went to work for Mike Bravo. His counterpoint in this book is Callie, who figured prominently in Atlas’ book as Lemon’s troubled friend. He escaped an abusive boyfriend and betrayed Lemon terribly. A year later and he’s still on the run from a very bad guy to whom he is indebted. Callie stays under the radar, moving from one place to another to stay alive.
Atlas and Lemon ask Zeus to find Callie so they can know he’s alive and okay. Callie is barely surviving but feels as safe as he can until Zeus finds him. He mistakenly thinks Zeus was sent to kill him so he on the run again.
For me, this book didn’t stand up to its predecessors. The men didn’t have strong chemistry and I missed the passion. Also, found family is a very strong component of the series but I found that to be lacking in this book. All of our beloved characters are present but not utilized as much as I would’ve liked. The mission lacked the same degree of danger and a cat and mouse chase that encompassed the majority of the Mike Bravo team as we’ve seen in the past. One thing I did enjoy is Haz, a young man who recently joined the team. He promises to be an engaging and amusing character in the future.
That said, I still enjoyed the book and would recommend it to readers already invested in the series. This is not a standalone book so other readers would need to start at the beginning with Iris.
