REVIEW:
This is book 5 in the series of Arctic Titans of Northwood U by Mr. Hayden Hall, and this is the story of Tyler and Sebastian, best friends through and through from childhood.
This series is just beautiful, as always with Mr. Hayden Hall, we meet lovable characters who are amazing in their own respective ways. Each have great qualities and some insecurities just like you and me, they are not perfect just like you and me.
Tyler and Sebastian are childhood friends, living in the same neighborhood, parents are best friends too. They did things together, always. They are now part of the Arctic Titans of Northwood U and on their way to winning the cup for their team.
When Sebastian found out that his girlfriend has been cheating on him, Tyler was there for him, in fact spends more time with him than with his own girlfriend. The fact is, Tyler considers him more important that his girlfriend in the grand scheme of things, they are best friends after all. But when Tyler’s own relationship began to sour because of all the time these friends spend together, things came to a head and pretty soon, they both become free from any girlfriend interference.
Spending their time together is nothing new to the best friends, they have been doing it for a long time but this time is different somehow, they started seeing each other in another light, they started to see how attractive each other is and how much they long to be in each other’s space all the time. When they started to explore their newfound feelings, they found out that these feelings have been there all the time, that somehow due to what was instilled in their minds at home, they had just suppressed them. They are not worried about their team, as it is composed of several couples, they are more worried about their families, especially Sebastian’s.
A story of being true to oneself and wanting to live that truth. A story of chosen family and acceptance.
What I love about Mr. Hayden Hall’s books are the facts that even if sometimes the situation the main characters find themselves in look insurmountable, somehow Mr. Hall finds a way to untangle them and find the happily-ever-after for them. Also, his characters are just like you and me, with insecurities and family problems, afraid of being rejected and shunned. I love each and every one of them.
Congratulations Mr. Hayden Hall, thank you for Tyler and Sebastian’s story, looking forward to the next book!
