BLURB:
Collin is big, burly, and rides a Harley. He’s the last person anyone would expect to have a passion for yarn. He crochets and sells his wares at the Heartcraft Market.
Harper is new to town. He wants to plant roots and find someone to share a life with. He has only dated women since that unforgettable night with a biker who took his v-card. Harper compares every man he meets to the one he can’t get out of his head. Finding him at the Heartcraft Market seems too good to be true.
Collin’s dating life has stalled out with most of his time spent taking care of his grandmother. When he sees the boy who caught his attention years ago, and the man he’s turned into, it stirs a longing in him that he thought he had lost.
Is this desire between them the ghost of a fling from the past or could it stitch into something real?
Yarn & Yearnings is a second chance, age gap romance with motorcycles, new starts, and creative uses for crochet. The Heartcraft Market series features stand-alone novels that can be enjoyed on their own or read with the series to revisit your favorite characters.
REVIEW:
I discovered Duckie Mack in the Multi-Author series Black Cat Circus and fell for her book. I’m finding this series just as delightful and thoughtful.
Collin is happy taking care of his Grandma Iris, doing his crocheting for his booth at the Heartcraft Market on Saturdays, and riding with the IEQ (Inland Empire Queer Motorcycle Club) as their Tail Gunner. Always bringing up the rear and making sure all are safe. The fact that the young man he still searches for got away 6 years ago and is on constant replay in his dreams is irrelevant.
He’s happy just being with and taking care of the most important woman in his life, his grandma who raised him and creating his crochet wares. But when the younger man of his dreams shows up one day at his Heartcraft Market all bets are off. He will find him again and he’s not letting him go this time!
I loved how one chance hookup to cash in his V card changed both these men forever. If there was ever a book about true love that the gates put together it’s Collin and Harper. They literally were two peas in a pod that were made for the other and complimented the other perfectly. And the fact that they couldn’t get enough of the the other without literally running to the bathroom for a quickly sealed that! But it was the honest and mutual caring about the other that did it for me. Collin is a natural nurturer and Harper needed to be near Collin and make sure his “big guy” was okay too. It may have seemed like insta-love but it brewed for six long years before it ignited.
Now I feel like I need to read the rest of this series because this book has lit a fire in me. Huge thumbs up for this sweet and no-angst book. Can’t wait for Marley’s book next!
