A college dropout and a guitar hero get lucky in their very own St. Patrick’s Day love song…
Hugo Spencer never thought he’d be running his family toy factory and living above a garage at this stage in his college career. Then again, he never thought he’d walk in on his girlfriend cheating on him with some hot new stud—and like it! (Well, the hot new stud part, anyway!) Ever since seeing another man in action, Hugo has been rediscovering long-buried clues that he might not be so straight after all. And when he meets the sexy punk rocker who practices with his band in the garage below his new loft, Hugo can’t help but indulge in his newfound attraction to his very own guitar hero!
Rome Hazard is happy that his gran has finally rented out the loft apartment above the garage where he and his band, Headless Chickens, practice whenever the mood strikes. He’s even happier when he meets the new renter, Hugo, a slim, sexy straight dude who nonetheless makes his heart race faster than a blistering guitar solo! After helping Hugo move in one hot summer day, the two form an instant bond that soon turns into something much more than a mere favor. Can their budding bromance survive their small-town Georgia confines, or will it outgrow even their own pounding hearts?

REVIEW:
New author-to-me with a fun, fast holiday novella.
Hugo Spencer never imagined that his life would have changed so rapidly. One day he’s a college student chasing his dream. The next, he’s back home helping run his family’s toy factory with his dad’s sudden medical emergency. He also never imagined that the property manager that showed him his apartment and then was suddenly his girlfriend that moved into his apartment would be screwing some young guy during the day on his couch. But what he really didn’t realize was that it was the guy that peaked his interest and he could care less about his now suddenly ex!!! So when he arrives at his new place he rented over the garage of the owner’s place and sees the the gorgeous guy wailing on a guitar he has his second ah-ha moment and realizes that he isn’t quite as straight as he once believed. But does his new landlord’s grandson feel the same way???
Thankfully Rome’s grandma brought this home for me. She was such a hoot and her humor just did it for me. Unfortunately, Hugo and Rome not as much. Both guys just look at each other and are suddenly “he’s the one” just didn’t click for me as much. That was a bit too fast. And then just literally jumping into sex was a bit much when Rome had never had bi-sexual thoughts before and Hugo was just becoming aware he might be bi-curious. Maybe a mutual hand job or kissing but dropping to his his knees immediately seemed a bit rash. I know this was a quick paced novella but I needed them to get to know the other a bit more before talking about forever. It was all to rushed for me.
If you are looking for insta-love and sex then this is the novella for you. I did love how Rome’s grandma got him good at the store the night after their tryst. She saved this book for me. I just needed a bit more connection between the two young men before forever.
