REVIEW:
Oh boy, this was quite the read for me!
What we’ve got here is Blu York, a psychopathic psychiatrist who has a sociopathic patient he wants to kill. The beast inside him wants to eliminate him. It will not be his first, he did many before, a long list, but never a patient.
It gets complicated when he follows his target and meets the guy’s boyfriend June, a graceful barista.
June is ready, somewhat, to take his relationship with his boyfriend a step further.
Imagine the shock when he finds out said boyfriend is a serial killer and wants to kill him.
Luckily for June the handsome man he met in his coffee shop, is there to prevent the kill.
Oh, did I mention ‘prevent’ meant the serial killer got killed himself, by… Blu?
Did I say it was complicated? Yes, it is.
Blu never felt the way he did for June, he wants to keep him safe. He is possessive, as in a -you touch him, I kill you- way. Literally!
June can’t digest Blu killing just randomly, June has a better plan for Blu’s beast, and oh boy Blu’s beast loves June, can a psychopath love someone?
It goes from bad to worse. Watch them!
The author did a good job with all the detailed activities, I was a bit afraid of repetitive scenes, but no there weren’t any, it was great. It was awesome watching them, how they played around in each other’s world. Their chemistry and their encounters were scorching!
The whole story was captivating, intriguing, and hugely entertaining. Both characters were fascinating. The twists and turns were great, I love it when a read is not predictable!
