Grayson Reed is into me.
We are each other’s fiercest opponents in the rink. But now, Grayson’s eyes are stripping me down whenever we cross each other’s paths.
I don’t mind being the object of another guy’s desire, but I also refuse to jump into a stranger’s bed so quickly. It’s just that I’m not really dating material.
And of all the guys on Earth, Grayson Reed is the last person I would give a chance. But if there is one thing everyone knows about Gray, it’s that he is not a quitter.
The more I push him away, the more he tries to get closer. And as he struggles to win me over, I stumble into the very thing I swore I would avoid.
Love.
Our struggles on the ice are nothing compared to the conquest of each other. And when I find out about the dare that had brought us together, my trust is shattered. It will take a lot more courage to fix this mess than it took to win a date with me. And I just don’t know if this playboy is brave enough for a relationship or if his story ends with the conquest.
REVIEW:
What started out as a dare becomes real, involving real feelings and real need for the relationship to go forward and become something more than what Grayson and Avery ever expected.
Icebound Rivals in the fourth book in the Arctic Titans of Northwood U series from Mr. Hayden Hall. This instalment is about Grayson and Avery and how their rivalry became something more than either ever dreamed of.
When Grayson was dared by his friends to date one of the guys from their rival team, he was undecided until Avery’s name was mentioned. He has been drawn to Avery ever since, the guy is a mystery to him. But Avery hates his guts. Avery is so over the idea of hooking up with random guys, he secretly wants what some of his teammates have, a serious relationship, a union that means something, not just sex. And besides, the one he is attracted to belong to their team’s rival team.
But one thing you can never fault Grayson with is his tenacity and patience. He woed Avery, and let me tell you, his ideas are so romantic, you will not be able to resist Grayson for long if he is onto you. His constant text messaging, gifts and romantic getaways (when they got to that part) were so sweet and out of the box.
Along the way, Grayson forgot the dare, how all these started, now that he has Avery’s attention he will do everything he can to make Avery love him.
Avery has decided to stop hooking up, it just doesn’t feel right anymore. He wants more. And Grayson has been really persistent, so he told him that if that was what he wanted then he cannot give it. But Grayson didn’t stop, instead he upped the ante by doing romantic gestures that finally got Avery. Avery is afraid of getting hurt though, he is afraid of a heartbreak.
These two are meant for each other, their personalities complement each other, they just fit. When the truth came out about the dare, both Grayson and Avery were devastated, Avery blamed himself for falling for Grayson, Grayson blamed himself for not being forthcoming with Avery. But with a big romantic gesture and not being afraid of showing how he truly feels, Grayson was finally able to convince Avery that everything was real for him.
I love it! Congratulations Mr. Hayden Hall, another bestseller!
