REVIEW:
Ok, I have to say I really enjoyed this story. I especially enjoyed the fact that it came from a question posed by one of RJ’s readers. The premise of this story is just so intriguing. I can think of several books, I’d like to be able to jump into and meet up with my favorite book characters. Once again RJ has created a sweet, special story that just gives off all the warm and fuzzy feelings. If you are looking for a “palate cleanser”, a nice easy read – this is the book for you.
The world building in this story was spectacular. This type of story just lends itself to wonderful world building. To be able to include special moment’s from other books was so intriguing. This is such a great premise. Character development was so good. Miles and Elias are a great match and I love that these characters are older. It’s a nice change of pace to see older characters as the main characters in a book. Although we can’t discount the side characters in this book, as they play major roles as well. This story is so well written, I was absorbed from the first page and just couldn’t put it down.
“What do you mean, it’s missing?” Fury raged within me. That locket meant more to me than life itself. “How can it possibly be gone, Mavis?”
“I have no idea, Eli. When was the last time you saw it?” Mavis sounded just as exasperated as I felt.
“You know I used it about a week ago. It had been a while and I felt like spending some time in Oz.” I paused, thinking for a moment. “Hmm, I believe I brought it down to the shop a day or two after that. I wanted to clean it up a bit and I keep the good silver polish in my workroom.”
Here’s a thought for you. If you found this type of magical locket, what book would you want to visit? Let the plot bunnies rain, and the words that are spawned be fruitful, keep up the great work RJ. As usual, I highly recommend this story and author. You should definitely run to your favorite eBook purchasing site and snap this one up. I am excited to see what comes next from RJ.
