My life is no rom-com movie…
Ever since my parents died, I’ve had one priority, and it isn’t romance. Raising my younger brother is a full-time job.
I don’t have time for a personal life, and I’ve accepted that I’ll be the world’s oldest virgin by the time Eric no longer needs me.
But when my younger brother decides to post on a Seattle social media site and play matchmaker with one of the responders, everything changes.
Suddenly, my life is full of sweet text messages, scary choices, and romantic rendezvous–all courtesy of one stubborn little brother determined to see me find love.
I don’t know whether to hug him or ground him.
Maybe I’ll do both.
Right after I watch Sleepless in Seattle again, and wonder if maybe there could be a leading man for me after all.
Sexless in Seattle is a Rom-Com Reboot with a few new twists and a LOT more M/M romance!
REVIEW:
I absolutely adored this story. So so so cute and sweet.
Zach and Eric are their own little unit after losing their parents and Zach completely changing his life to raise his brother from the age of 10. After two years, Zach has resigned himself to being alone until Eric is grown. Eric overhears this and decides that Zach needs a boyfriend. So he advertises him on social media. Seattleloner responds and Zach ends up talking to him online. But he’s not at a stage where he thinks he can manage a personal life and raise his brother and kind of ghosts Tristan (aka Seattleloner) But Eric has other ideas 🙂
Tristan has had a string of “boyfriends” or dates or hook-ups that have not been successful. He’s looking for a commitment and he’s not found anyone even remotely worthy. He feels a connection with Zach, but he senses that Zach is holding back and isn’t ready for a relationship. When he gets a message to meet him on Valentine’s Day, he almost skips, but his friends convince him to go for it. Little does he know there has been a bit of subterfuge in the invite 😉
Once Tristan and Zach actually meet (with a little help) things start to change. There is definite chemistry and Tristan realizes this could be something. Zach isn’t ready to let someone into their lives so much though and he definitely holds back from Tristan. The pace of their relationship is a bit slow, but Tristan is willing to wait for someone who it worth it.
Such a good twist on Sleepless in Seattle. Both Zach and Tristan have a wonderfully supportive network of friends. Eric is a sweet brother who recognizes what Zach has given up for him and he wants to help Zach find some happiness. I enjoyed the slow unfolding of their relationship – from texting to real life friends to eventual lovers. Tristan is definitely at keeper! This is why DJ Jamison has become an autobuy author for me. These lovely stories that provide such a warm HEA with a good dose of humor and heart are why I keep coming back. Highly recommended. And I can’t wait for the next one 😀
