BLURB:
When he broke off his engagement to his team captain’s brother the day before their wedding, Jamie Jamieson swore he’d never get involved with anyone associated with a teammate again. Getting traded to the Orcas is a chance at a fresh start, but one glance at his new housemate, and Jamie knows he’s in way over his head.
Dorian is his new coach’s cousin. And his team’s social media coordinator. And his housemate.
It’s the trifecta of bad ideas.
Dorian Shore doesn’t do hockey. He’s lived by that rule for years, ever since a season playing as a kid left him with emotional scars. But his new housemate—a big, buff, beautiful athlete who gets under his skin—makes him seriously consider doing a hockey player.
It’s not a good idea.
They live together.
They work together.
When the sparks between them ignite, will it be game on or game over?
REVIEW:
What a special treat this one was!
Jamie Jamieson just wants to play hockey. He knows that his past relationship has severely hampered his ability in Charlotte so this fresh start in Vancouver is just what he needs. No more relationships that have any connection to hockey. That’s his goal. Unfortunately that flew out the door the moment he meets his new roommate. He’s definitely Jamie’s kryptonite but he has to stay away. Not only is he the teams social media coordinator but he’s also the coach’s cousin and his place to stay in town. Ugh! But can these two really keep their hands (and lips) to themselves or will they finally admit the inevitable…they have the major hits for their roommate!
I get that Jamie’s ex-fiancé’s older brother was very protective of him. But to make his life so miserable on the team and cause such strife was unprofessional. Life on the ice and your personal business is two different things and can destroy a team. And that’s what happened. Good thing for Vancouver Orcas though because Jamie worked out great there.
I know I came in on this one at the end of the series and now want the other two cousin’s stories but I didn’t feel like I was missing anything important. I loved how accepting the team was to Jamie after all that nastiness in Charlotte. He finally had a home that accepted him for him and didn’t hold personal matters over his head.
