A fledgling butler with a legacy to uphold.
A celebrity boss with a family to protect.
Crossing the upstairs/downstairs divide has never felt so natural…nor so perilous.
This is the one, Wil thinks when he interviews for the butler position at Buck House, Oxfordshire.
Dream home.
Dream job.
Dream boss…maybe.
Worst idea ever, Rhys thinks when he’s convinced to employ a butler straight out of the academy.
His privacy gone.
His sanity gone.
His heart…that might be gone, too.
Where There’s a Wil, There’s a Way is a contemporary, age-gap MM romance, with more sweet than heat, and a guaranteed HEA. It can be read as a standalone.
REVIEW:
This is definately an opposites attract kind of story!
Wil has been training for this as long as he can remember! He’s steady, smart and reliable. He knows how to get things done the proper way. He’s determined to make his parents proud as he looks for somewhere to start his career. It’s the only thing that matters isn’t it?
Artistic and free and not a fan of following the straight and narrow, Rhys definitely didn’t need a butler but it doesn’t take long for him to adjust. But he’s not sure that the position that Wil is in is the one that Rhys needs him to fill.
I felt for Wil in this story. The carefully crafted life he’s alway plan for seem to be almost in reach but it feels like it might be slipping away if he can’t find someway to control his emotions.
Rhys knows there’s something missing in his life but he’s stubborn and is sure that a partner isn’t it. Fun is fun but that’s as far as it can go, right?
I enjoyed watching these guys dance around each other, trying to find ways to fit the other man in their lives. With the help of some new friends and Rhys’ niece and nephew, they finally find a common ground.
The author is very good at writing banter and they made me a smile a lot. I also found myself frustrated with Wil and Rhys as they ran in circles sometimes chasing their own tails. This story is sweet and engaging with characters that can easily be related to.
If you’re looking for a story without a lot of angst that will give you the giggles a time or two, then this is for you! It left me feeling happy and sated, with just a bit of heat and a lot of emotion. I could have read a bit more about these two but the story is a full one with nothing left wanting and that’s something I really appreciate.
I am going to be that person, however and say the title is a bit…over done. It could have been shortened quite a bit and would have been more professional.
Other than that, it’s a lovely story.
