I love anthologies. They’re a great way to find new authors, and read shorter stories from favourites.

They come in all shapes and sizes too. I have a growing anthology shelf, with some smaller volumes and tomes. Some are more loosely themed ie paranormal, Christmas, while others are more specific like tales of a haunted elevator. I enjoy seeing how authors interpret prompts in so many different ways.

My TBR list always grows after reading them.

They’re also great for dipping into if I want something short, rather than the next chapter in a long book that I know I’ll be tempted to stay up far too late reading because I’ll need to know what happens next.

This year I’ve been privileged with an invitation to write a short for a very special anthology. Love and Hope is for one of our own, H.M. Wolfe.

My story, Heartfelt, is a sweet New Zealand set story with a loose connection to Postscript. Kedgetown and the bookshop help those in need so it felt right for them to be included in some way.
