Welcome to the Love Bytes Reviewers’ Best of 2023
Another year has passed in which books have brought all of us a much needed escape and sense of comfort. Our Love Bytes team reviewed approximately 1,300 LGBTQ+ books in 2023, from contemporary romance to fantasy, paranormal, historical, adventure, mystery, comedy and everything in between. Each day for the next few weeks, we will feature one of our reviewers’ top picks from books and audiobooks published in 2023. These lists highlight how diverse our tastes in reading are, and offer something for everyone. With thousands of fantastic new books each year, written by hundreds of creative and talented authors, it’s so difficult to narrow our lists down. We all have many favorite authors not featured here and wish we could acknowledge them all.
Cindy’s 2023 Favorites
Under Cover (Covert Book 1) by Amy Lane
Kick ass cop with an amazing group to back him up. Heart pounding action balanced by sweet romance.
Broken Warrior (CrossBow Protection #1) by K.C. Wells & Parker Williams
Not all hero’s wear capes. Judson and Garcia made me smile as much as they took my breath away.
In the Eye of the Beholder by Dianna Roman
Sometimes you find a savior where you least expect it.
To Kill a King Series by Sam Burns and W.M. Fawke
Fantastic series about a royal family and the dragons that they love. Great world building and amazing premise.
Patience (Damned Connections Book 1) by Lark Taylor
Supernatural done very right! A great spin off from one of my favorites, The Reckless Damned Series.
Fiorenzo by Sebastian Nothwell
Well written characters in a historical AU type of setting. Read it all in one setting.
Footwork by TA Moore
This one had a lot of heartache but delivers on the perfect ending. These guys were rough around the edges but I loved them anyway.
Until I Saw You by Dianna Roman
Harper and Riley are exactly what each other needs. A few tears and more smiles than I was expecting!
Tied Over (Marshals #6) by Mary Calmes
I’ve been waiting for Redeker and Callahan’s story and it didn’t let me down. A little angst and a lot of fun!
