If there’s one thing Luca can’t stand, it’s a bad Daddy.
Luca has been waiting tables at The Tap Tavern for years. In the last six months, his relationships with his coworkers have grown from casual acquaintances to true friendships. After letting it slip that he’s an unattached boy, his friends are out to find him a Daddy for Christmas.
Which might be fine, if Harrison wasn’t the only single Daddy there, lurking around every corner. Rich and gorgeous, he’s the worst kind of man. One who only plays but never commits.
With holiday giving in full swing, Luca sees the heart behind Harrison’s arrogance, leaving him confused. The egotistical man in sexy suits isn’t supposed to be fun or silly or so willing to get his hands dirty.
Luca isn’t sure he buys into Christmas magic, but by the time this season is done, he may just believe that Harrison is the gift his heart needs.
Come along for another heartwarming tale in the Takoda Universe, where bonds are formed, friendships thrive, and the Daddies love with their whole hearts. Sometimes on the journey of life, there is healing and more love than we ever dreamed possible.
REVIEW:
Luca has worked at The Tap for years, even when Toby and his crew were there looking for their Daddies and he never let on to his colleagues that he is a boy like most of them. When he started, he had a Daddy and his college studies to keep him busy and by the time he had, had his heart broken the boys of The Tap had all found their forever Daddies. He really doesn’t like the owner of The Tap Christian’s friend Harrison. His arrogance reminds Luca too much of the Daddy that broke his heart.
Harrison doesn’t do relationships. He never has and never will, and he makes sure the boys he plays with know that it is a one-time deal. But he really doesn’t know what he has done to upset Luca. One minute Luca was fine with him and the next he seems to hate him and no-one knows why.
When Luca lets slip, he is a boy why does Harrison what to get to know him better and why does Luca’s heart rate increase, and not in anger, every time Harrison is around.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved the fact that we got to see another side of Harrison in this book. He really is a nice generous guy!! I also really loved the fact that we got to see all the characters we have previously met in the Takoda universe with the Outreach Centre being a key component of the story as well as the characters from the Love on Tap series.
I really feel like I owe Luca an apology, He never registered with me when I read Chips Forever Daddy, despite it only being a couple of months since I read it. As its mentioned about how long he has worked at The Tap I thought I had forgotten him from the first series as well, but I have just re downloaded them all and searched for his name and I couldn’t see him come up in any of the main books. I will definitely remember him now as the boy that finally tamed Harrison.
I will confess to reading this book twice before writing this review and I am really glad I did because having seen what the next 2 books Sammi is due to publish at the end of the book I was able to spot the characters that are coming up in this book on my second read through. Another enjoyable read from Sami Cee and I cannot wait to read more from her.
