Something is bothering Rhian, and his friends and family want to know what that is. His lovers, Garrick and Savannah, think they have an idea and they’re trying to give him some space. His teammates haven’t any clue, but they’re convinced that enough nights out and beautiful women making eyes at him will make it better. And his grandfather and sister just want him to be happy and to know that he is loved.
Rhian Savage does know he’s loved. He just wishes everyone else knew it, too.
REVIEW:
Note: This book takes place in the same universe as many of this author’s other Moncton Ice Cats universe books, so there are spoilers aplenty here for the previously published books. This is a steamy interlude that takes place before The Long Game. I don’t think it works as a standalone. Definitely need to have read the Hat Trick series first 😉
Whew boy! This is a very very hot and steamy holiday story starring Rhian, Savannah and Garrick. It’s early in Savannah’s pregnancy and Rhian, Garrick and Savannah’s relationship is still a secret from everyone except family and close friends not associated with Rhian’s Boston team. While on a road trip, Rhian struggles with hovering around Savannah who is still dealing with some pregnancy symptoms. Henri, his teammate who has four of his own children picks up on Savannah’s symptoms right away. What he can’t figure out is Rhian’s behavior.
Things get a little sticky – mostly because Rhian is struggling with having to keep things under wraps – not only with Savannah and Garrick but the ret of his family as well. Garrick and Savannah try to give him space, but it’s clear he needs to talk about it. Add that into the weirdness that seems to be coming from his teammates and well, Rhian is just a giant bundle over nerves
After clearing the air, Garrick and Savannah agree that it’s time to rethink their strategy of complete secrecy. Suspicions have been raised and it’s not fair to leave Rhian hanging.
Love this one! This throuple is amazing and if you are familiar with this whole universe of books I think you’ll love this holiday vignette starring our favorite hockey players and trainer family. Michael Ferraiuolo does his usual amazing job voicing the many characters of this world. I adored his performance here and this story is a fabulous way to ring in the new year. Recommended.
