Theodor Jensen is the head bartender where Gabe works and he’s had his eye on Gabe for a while. But he’s too shy to confess his feelings.
Once Gabe and Theo’s friends realize what’s going on, they try their best to convince them to give it a chance. Sometimes you just have to help the matchmaker see what’s right in front of them. And who knows, maybe Gabe and Theo actually have great chemistry together?
REVIEW:
Wishes do come true, sometimes. I got my wish that Gabe and Theo would get their own book. After devouring all four books, this one is my favorite. This series is just a sweet cozy love story on the high seas. With this story all the key elements I look for, a well-rounded, well written story, were incorporated brilliantly – again. As this is the final book in the series, it’s not necessary to read the previous three books – but I highly recommend it. I recommend it because all the backstory for Gabe and Theo is slowly revealed amongst all the other romances. With each book we get to experience another cruise and another romantic trope. Building the characters and how they fit into the story, is mostly done by the dialogue between the cast in the book. Which requires less build up and more immediate action, as well as the ability to relate to the characters more quickly. I really enjoyed the fact that this trope was one I really enjoy – friends to lovers.
“Looks like the matchmaker strikes again!” Theo said, chuckling. “Well done, my friend. Have you seen anyone that might be suited to me?”
“Oh, I didn’t realize you were looking for someone, my friend.” Gabe seemed curious. “I’d need to gather a bit more information.”
“You can ask me anything you’d like.” Theo’s heart was pounding in his chest. But he’d decided that he would be more open with Gabe. Looks like today’s the day.
“Well,” Gabe began, “we’ve never really spoken about this before.” They sat on a bench near the fountain and people-watched as they chatted. “I guess the first thing I need to know is if you’d like to meet a woman or a man?” Gabe’s voice caught a bit as he posed the question.
In this one, we really don’t get to see the meet cute with Gabe and Theo, as they have been working on the cruise ship together for a while. We got glimpses into their friendship in the previous books and if you’ve read any of my previous reviews of this series, you know I’ve been rooting for these two since the beginning. I was not disappointed.
As we leave this series, I’m going to miss the love boatesque style to these novellas. Sweet, cozy, sexy stories that gave me all the warm fuzzy feels you need in life. So, of course, I highly recommend this series and this book, as it is my favorite after all. Do yourself a huge favor and run to your favorite eBook purchasing site and grab this book. You won’t regret it.
