FBI special agent Max Prince is about to be married to the man of his dreams, Dr. Leo Reeves, his partner at home and work. Best of all, their friends and drag queens, Flay and Trey, have volunteered to throw them the stag party of their lives and let’s just say, the queens have something special planned in Vegas.
The last thing Leo expected was to meet and fall in love with a Prince when he came out to Los Angeles to take a criminal profiling job. Fortunately, his gorgeous partner was totally irresistible. Flash forward a year and a half, and Leo is ready to happily strut down the aisle and marry the man who wants to commit himself to him. When he and Max agree that Flay and Trey—the cute drag queens who live next door—should plan their bachelor party, Leo realizes it’s him who needs to be committed. Only an insane person would agree to such silliness.
As the couple and all their work colleagues gather in a Nevada desert for their surprise bachelor party, the last thing they expect is to be thrust into the path of danger once again. This weekend is supposed to be full of fun, indulgence, maybe a party with a little too much to drink, and men in thongs. Instead, they get threats from an unexpected source with strange weapons, a once in a lifetime storm, and possible exposure to radiation.
Leo and Max should have learned by now that nothing is out of the realm of possibility when it comes to two crazy drag queens, their insane clown posse of friends from the ATF, and Mother Nature who is hell bent on drowning all their butts. Join our boys for what may turn out to be either the best time they’ve ever had…or their final adventure.

REVIEW:
I’m a bit melancholy. Not because I didn’t love this book, because I totally did, but because this book is the end of Leo and Max’s series.
After Max told his best friend/neighbor, the flamboyant Drag Queen Flay, that Leo said yes when he popped the question Flay, along with his boyfriend Trey have been planning the biggest and most memorable Stag/bachelor party of all time. And having their upcoming nuptials in Vegas made the possibility of the party being even more spectacular. After a flight on Beth’s über rich boyfriend’s private jet, preceded by an adventurous and sexy ride in his stretch limo, the two men and their friends are treated to a night of indulgence in the opulent suite at the Wynn cask a resort that Flay set up. They were treated with the most exquisite catered meal from Sinatra’s when they arrived. Then on to the the main event the next day which has Max worried what his friend planned. But an afternoon in the winter Nevada desert shooting paintballs with all their friends and coworkers is going to be so much fun. That is until danger rears it’s ugly head. Militia, mountain lions, desert storms and missile silos, oh my!
These boys and their friends can’t go anywhere without attracting danger. Especially if Jarrett is throw in to the mix. I literally broke out laughing out loud at his and his husband Thayne’s grand entrance for the private flight. For Jarrett to be white knuckle scared is saying a lot with the antics he’s pulled off over the years in the name of justice and protection. I love that Thayne and Jarrett, two of my all-time most favorite book boyfriends, took Leo and Max into their found family of heroes. You can guarantee several things when Patty includes them in her books. There is going to be rolling on the floor laughter and nail biting danger all mixed in with a lot of love and respect. .
It is fitting that this story line ended with Leo and his Prince getting married. These two men have been through so much in their lives. Leo having to live with the knowledge that dear old dad was a gruesome serial killer and he taught his half brother the family business. And Max losing his young son and dealing with his mentally disturbed ex-wife in his young adulthood was crushing. Finding each other, learning how to trust and lean on a person and falling madly in love forever just wasn’t in their sights but fate doesn’t care when she finds you your forever love. And Leo learning that it’s okay to have friends that won’t judge you for the sins of your father but embrace you for you. This series (and the other series that have sprung from the Death and Destruction world) all teach of love and acceptance no matter who you are, the things that you did or experienced when you were younger, and a found family filled with honor.
The one person I had hoped to meet was Beth’s rich boyfriend Spiros Papadopoulos. I know his family is in shipping and beyond wealthy but I somehow thought that there might have been a story there. But I won’t be surprised if Patty has something up her sleeve in the future with that story line.
It’s always a tad bit bittersweet when a series that you grow invested in ends. Although, just like getting to see Thayne, Jarrett and Sarah in this story line, I know we will get to see Leo and Max again on other cases they are called in on to assist with. But getting to really know these two guys, and watching them finally have the love that both men so desperately needed and deserved in their live, it’s going to be hard to step away. And that a sign of just how fabulously Patricia Logan is at spinning her tales. You just can’t help but to fall for her heroic men that put themselves in the line of fire to protect America’s citizens. The FBI, ATF, WITSEC and the LA police force each have all been highlighted in these fabulous books/series that she has created. And next up is the US Marshalls.
We also are treated with the prequel to this storyline as a bonus at the end of Max and Leo’s book.. It is called Extinction and was originally published in an anthology called Fever Hawaiian Anthology.
If, for some reason you are just now getting introduced to this fantastic series and the whole collection of series in this world Patty has created. A guide to reading order is also included in this book along with a sneak peek at the new U. S. Marshals series. Happy reading to you all.
