And who could forget his adorable poodle princess, Duchess? But life isn’t all sprinkles and gingerbread. As Jack becomes consumed by his work, cracks appear in their fairy-tale love story.
When their family is whisked away to the charming town of Winterhaven for the holiday season, Fitz eagerly embraces the festive merriment. Amidst the delightful matchmaking chaos and mischievous antics, can the enchantment of Christmas in Winterhaven work its magic to help Fitz and Jack rediscover the spark that first ignited their love?
REVIEW:
As the saga continues to bring back the holiday spirit into Winterhaven, we find Jack all tangled up in repairing the wirings of the Ice Castle where the biggest event in town will be held. If he doesn’t get the electricity to work in the venue, the town’s Christmas festivities will never get underway. Amidst all the work, he forgets to eat, sleep and without realizing it, Fitz, his lovely boyfriend, gets neglected. But Fitz understands how hard his job is, even when they were back in Florida where Jack holds a big responsibility for their security company. He protects clients and multibillion companies from cybercrime.
Fitz has always understood Jack’s job. But deep down, he feels neglected and sad. He thought that this vacation would give them some time together, quality time together. When Jack forgets even to eat when Fitz brings him food, and doesn’t sleep because of what he has undertaken as his responsibility, that was it.
Jack’s friends and family bugged him about slowing down, giving more responsibilities to his team, hiring a new guy, but he took it upon himself to do all the job, taking in more, so much so that he is wearing himself really thin, neglecting the one person who is the most important to him. When he realized what he has done, he asked for Fitz’s forgiveness and promise (and this time he really means it) to do better, work less, and spend more time together. Jack doesn’t want to lose Fitz and he knows that if he keeps doing what he is currently doing then he will lose him.
I love these men, with all their shenanigans and especially with all their little imperfections, it makes them all beautiful and one-of-a-kind, it makes them human. These men found their other halves and they will do anything to keep their loved ones, love and protect them.
