Red Flagged by Elle Keaton
Reclaimed Hearts, Book 3
Ex-US Marshal turned Cooper Springs Chief of Police, Andre Dear isn’t looking for love. He’s too busy hunting a killer.
The last person Andre expected to see in Cooper Springs was Dante Castone. He left Dante and the rest of his old life behind him when he moved to Washington State and what he thought would be a quiet job in a small town by the ocean.
Dante Brown went into WITSEC for his sister’s kid–sort of.
In reality, Dante’s DIYing it; he isn’t the trusting sort. Daniella was the only witness to her mom’s brutal murder and needs both protection and anonymity–plus as normal a life as possible. It’s just a bonus that Cooper Springs has Andre Dear too.
He and Andre have a history, and Dante wants to see if they might have a future. Someone is gunning for Andre and, like it or not, Dante is going to protect him. And yeah, feed him too. Does the man never eat?
Andre needs Dante’s help even if he doesn’t want to accept it. Dante’s ready to settle down but he’s going to have to prove himself before Andre lets him in again.
Together, they need to catch a killer and maybe find each other in the process.
Red Flagged is book three in the Reclaimed Hearts series. A second-chance, older-lovers redemption story and thrilling romantic suspense set in the wilds of the Olympic Peninsula.

“Why are you here, in my house, in Cooper Springs?”
Carefully, Dante set his mug down on the counter. André sensed there was an internal debate happening—how much was Dante willing to reveal?
Instead of looking at André, Dante stared out the kitchen window. André noted that it was starting to get light.
“I’m not with the DEA any longer. No more undercover work for me.”
“Why? What happened?” Had he been found out by whoever he’d been investigating?
“My sister was killed,” His tone was flat. Just the facts, ma’am. Stunned as he was by the information, André realized the words were acting as a dam, holding back emotions André doubted Dante would ever willingly reveal. “I’m my niece’s only relative—the only relative my sister would trust her daughter with anyway—so now I’m her guardian. Can you imagine?” he said with a soft snort. “Me? The guardian of a fifteen-year-old girl?”
“She’s here in Cooper Springs with you?”
“Of course, she’s here. Did you think I left her behind? She goes to the high school.”
“No, I didn’t think you left her behind. I’m just a bit shocked. I didn’t know you had a sister. I’m sorry for your loss—and for your niece.”
“Yeah, I’m fucking sorry too. Imagine having me for an uncle. Imagine having your world disintegrate around you and I’m the only one you have to hold things together.”
André moved without thinking, stepping into Dante’s space. “Honestly, I know nothing about you. Not really. But I bet you’re exactly what your niece needs.”
They stared at each other without touching, as much as André wanted to.
“Why did you come here last night?” he asked.
Dante’s lips quirked. “I thought I made that obvious.”
Booty call.
“You can’t keep coming over,” André said firmly. Dante may light him up faster than a barbecue doused in kerosene, but sex did not a relationship make.
“Daniella is at a friend’s house,” Dante said, instead of agreeing with André. Now Dante crowded in against him, maneuvering André backward until his ass was pressed against the counter behind him. “I couldn’t think of anything else I wanted to do. Ever since the day I saw you in The Steam Donkey, wearing your police chief’s outfit, looking calm, cool, and collected, I’ve been dreaming about peeling your clothes off and having my way with you.”
André was hard already. All he needed was for Dante to be in his proximity and his cock sprang to attention. With a needy groan, he pressed his lips against Dante’s—if nothing else, to get the man to stop talking. Dante grunted as he leaned into André’s kiss, sliding his hands underneath the long-sleeved t-shirt he wore.
By the time they got back to the bedroom, they were naked again and André was ready to beg. Dante spun him around and lay down on the bed.
“Fuck me, André. Fuck me hard.”
About the Author:
Do you love inclusive, swoony, and often suspenseful small-town romances featuring complex characters and a unique sense of place? I do too! My characters start out broken and, maybe, they’re still a tad banged up by the end, but they find the other half of their hearts and ALWAYS get their happily ever after.
In 2017 I pressed the Publish button for the first time and have never looked back—making this the longest period of time I’ve stuck with a job in my entire life.
Currently, there are over thirty Elle Keaton books available for you to read or listen to. I love cats and dogs. Star Wars and Star Trek. Pineapple on pizza, and have a cribbage habit my husband encourages.
