Adam is an omega that has never had a heat. He’s twenty-five and past the age of an omega’s first cycle. His doctors have told him countless times he’ll never have the experience. But sometimes doctors get it wrong or perhaps Fate changes her mind. During rehearsal for the winter ballet, Adam goes into heat and he’s forced home with no alpha to help.
Peyton does odd jobs around town. One job is being a heat service provider to omegas without an alpha. When his next call is to his childhood best friend and the fated mate that rejected him years ago, he can’t help but try to ask for another provider. But Adam is too far gone and Peyton is the only alpha close enough.
Once Adam’s heat is over, the pair separate, only to be thrown back together to help decorate the dance studio’s winter parade float. Can the two reconcile? Or will Adam stay oblivious to Peyton’s true feelings?
His Patient Alpha is an MM shifter omegaverse romance featuring a feisty fox male dancer that can’t sense his heat nor his fated mate, and an alpha deer that just wants a second chance to love him.
Christmas Omegas is a multi-author series. Each story is a standalone and features a fun Holiday Season Parade! Whether it’s a paranormal pairing or a human pairing, you can expect these omegas to find love during the holidays.
REVIEW:
A cute, fast read in the Christmas Omegas Multi-Author Series.
Adam can’t sense when things are happening to him. Like going into his first heat at 25! Or just knowing that your fated mate is right on front of you. Maybe it’s just another part of his messed up body. And he has no time for this stupid heat thing. He’s a professional dancer and the Christmas Parade, and the Winter Ballet his company is preforming, is just around the corner. Thankfully one of his fellow dancers know what he needs and gives him the number to a professional heat service provider. But what he doesn’t expect is how much pain he is in and that they send the man that broke his heart while in high School. Payton never understood why Adam why broke his heart that night at the bonfire after the last football game of the season. But can they repair their friendship when the truth of that misunderstanding comes out and give love and fate a second chance?
I know that kids are kids and that seventeen is a fragile and sensitive age. And I know high school jocks can be a-holes around their peers with testosterone flowing rampantly and running their mouths. But to go 8 years without ever reaching out and talking to each other while each man continued to nurse his broken heart. Compound that with the fact that they knew they were fated mates even though Adam didn’t have the ability to sense it. I just couldn’t believe they let their friendship since middle school die that night without ever questions why.
I wonder if Adam’s flighty nature is due to his red fox or if he suffers from a bit of ADD. And basically becoming a recluse, except for his dancing, after one bad encounter with a human seems a bit excessive. But I loved how Payton’s patient and caring nature calmed him and allowed him to focus and move on. I admired how Payton knew just what to say and do to allow Adam to flourish and grow again. To regain his lost confidence.
Due to what sounded like multiple medical issues there was no mpreg in this particular story in this series. But that wasn’t a problem for either man because neither had any desire to produce offspring. I did love hope sweet they were both to little Joseph and how much he looked up to them.
I am truly enjoying this series and can’t wait for more.
