BLURB:
It’s Christmas, and Rhys has never been happier. He loves his Daddy and his found family, and he has secret plans to ask Simon a very important question. But before he gets his chance he’ll have to navigate meddling grandparents, barn elves, glogg, and a slightly murderous sheep.
And when a dark figure from his past looms, will Rhys have what it takes to stand up for himself and defend his and Simon’s future together?
REVIEW:
It’s always nice to visit old friends. Rhys and Simon are adorable as heck and I enjoyed this visit to their happily-ever-after.
This is a very low angst story, and that’s ok. Rhys does have to deal with some issues from his past but its all in the name of emotional growth. Simon is as lovely and understanding as always although he has to figure out a few things as well. I enjoyed how both men helped each other come to terms with the struggles they were facing.
These characters, and the other supporting cast, are easy to relate to and the writer does an amazing job of making them people we can empathize with. Friends supporting friends is something we need more of to be honest.
I love the banter between Rhys and Simon and I adore the world the author has created for their character to inhabit.
I can foresee where new stories in this series might come from and I can’t wait to see how they play out. The doctor and the policeman have my vote although I’d be happy with a few others as well.
If you are new to age play and the Daddy/little lifestyle then this series would be a wonderful place to dive in and explore. The author is obviously writing from a place of love and understanding and it comes through in the story they are telling.
This is romantic and sweet, although the spice is there as well. Its the perfect balance and it made me very happy.
On a side note, I wish there were more places like Tewsbury in the world. There are a lot of queer people in the world who would love to visit them.
