The only thing bigger than Riggs’ attitude is his tool… And only one of those problems can be solved with more lube…
There’s no tragic backstory or closet stuffed full of skeletons from relationships’ past. I’ve just never been very good at the “very special episode” sh*t. If you’re looking for a shoulder to cry on, may I suggest a therapist?
Casual fun with my emotionally stunted, overgrown frat boy roommate slash co-worker should be perfect, right? Shep seems to be just as allergic to commitment as I am to emotions, but that doesn’t mean we don’t need our stroker rods serviced, if you catch my drift.
Now if he’ll just stop looking at me with those dopey puppy dog eyes while I’m elbow deep in a diesel engine, and making my stomach flip with that smile of his, that would be great…
REVIEW:
This is Book Five and the last book of the Big Bull Mechanics book series from Ms. K.M. Neuhold. The first four are Crankshaft, Stroker, Stick Shift and Rear Ended, in that order.
If you are into big but really sweet men who loves to get down and dirty (when it calls for it lol), then these are your men. Ms. Neuhold has always had this knack for creating big men who are so sweet and loving that you can’t help but fall in love with all of them. And I love all the titles she comes up with, starting with Four Bears Construction.
Shep and Riggs have been at each other’s throat ( in a very good, friendly and brotherly way?) ever since, their banters are with so much snark and bite that you can’t help but root for them (when they get their heads out of their ***** long enough to realize it). They both are really good mechanics and the fact that they are the last two remaining single men in their workplace adds to the non-existing pressure lol.
Shep lives in the moment, he is just enjoying his life, he loves life and all his friends, his job. He even loves Riggs, with all his prickly attitude, he doesn’t want to change him at all. He just doesn’t realize how much he loves the guy until they got to know each other better when he offered his other room to Riggs.
Riggs is a snarky “not a twink” twink. He is smart and he expresses his opinions with no nonsense at all. But that is just him, take it or leave it. Shep likes him for who he is, no need to change at all.
Riggs just doesn’t get why he doesn’t have the same feelings as all his friends in the garage. All have coupled up and they are as happy as can be, but he doesn’t feel the same way. He loves to scratch his itch once in a while but he really doesn’t feel anything, unlike Shep. But when his landlord told him that he needs to vacate his apartment and Shep readily offers him a room, he started to think about a lot of things. They, of course, started to spend more time together, get to know each other better and became really friends. And when it became more, and Riggs got more confused, his friends helped him but most especially Shep who just tells him to adjust to it at his own pace. They are both genuinely good guys and the fact that they complement each other so well just adds to the fact that they are imperfectly perfect for each other.
Ms. K.M. Neuhold, you are amazing. We thank you for these amazing guys you have shared with us and I cannot wait for the next spinoff series. Congratulations!
