Lynden Alan Ackerman the third, aka, Seltzer – don’t ask how he got the nickname, his younger sister is still traumatized over the whole incident. Seltzer, the lead guitarist for the band Embrace the Fear was caught in a compromising position with the younger brother of the not so happy drummer from the mega band, Social Sinners, Diamond.
“Don’t poke the bear,” Stoli, lead guitarist for Social Sinners and Seltzer’s mentor warns while moving Seltzer out of Diamond’s reach. But being the jokester was Seltzer’s MO, though Diamond’s growls and clenched fists should’ve been a sign to back off.
Jeremiah Taylor grips his brother’s bicep while he and Diamond’s husband Easton do their best to calm the beast. Was the hook up with Seltzer worth it? Yes, and no.
Though this wasn’t their first time…

REVIEW:
O. M. G!!! Seltzer and Jeremiah! I am shocked Seltzer lived past Ely and Rhone’s wedding with that little bathroom stunt! Diamond is a giant and finally having his little brother Jeremiah back safely in his life was everything for him. So to say he’s a tad bit overprotective of Jeremiah is definitely an understatement! Seltzer having Jeremiah as his friend with benefits was like playing with a loaded gun. Especially when they weren’t being as discreet as they should have been. But they were both young and horny so it made sense to them I guess. Thankfully Easton knows how to get his Diamond (I always think of him as a Diamond in the rough) to see reason and defuse him. It’s not easy but Easton means everything to Diamond. Easton and Jeremiah that is. Thankfully Seltzer quickly realized how much J meant to him too. J and his little sister. His parent’s literally are clueless and in their own little world in their labs and always have been. Thankfully his beloved Grandma stepped up.
Yes, both of these guys are young but love has no defined timeline. How fast they realized that they were in love and had found their one didn’t matter. It was all about the connection that couldn’t be broken. Even being apart for a bit was painful and that’s a great sign of true love. Thankfully they both realized it.
I loved that Jeremiah took the initiative to approach Easton directly for the job he saw might work for both of them. Putting together the PowerPoint was a great way to showcase his mad computer skills. And let’s face it…Easton needed another set of eyes and hands. Diamond and his dad had been saying this for awhile. And yes I get it, Easton is a micromanager and perfectionist. But he had allowed River in to help with social media and stuff so Jeremiah coming on board the team was a natural transition. Because we all know that the Masterson’s like their control and they also need to support and taking care of their family. And now Jeremiah was family two different ways.
I loved that the Taylor family are all getting their HEA’s. How the father tried so hard to control everything and the methods of abuse that he used to restrain that family was pure evil. Having Diamond, Jeremiah and their Mom find a new life and love was a blessing for each of them. The trauma and abuse they all endured can never be erased but the true love they each have found will help heal some of those deep wounds.
It was a true treat for me to get to spend quality time with the Social Sinners again. They are who originally lead me to TL and all her fabulous rockers. Watching them grow up and now become the mentors was full circle for me. Pay it forward is always a motto I believe and support because you can’t always repay things that happen in life. But you can choose to do it for someone new when the opportunity arises. That’s what the Sinners are doing for Embrace like Maiden did for them.
I love all of TL’s Rockers and this book was especially gratifying. The final piece for Diamond slipped into place. I will say that I got super antsy around the 70-80% mark that we hadn’t been to a hospital yet. I could have easily seen Diamond pummel Seltzer for one of his stupid remarks. Thank you again Easton for your level headiness and calming heart for Diamond. Now I need Chase to finally get his HEA. I know he is watching all his bandmates and fellow bands get theirs and he needs his! And I am super stoked to see how Josh Gray and Chaotic Abyss fit into the grand scheme of things too! Fabulous addition to all three series.
