Ollie is the definition of protective, with the muscle to back it up. When they find Chip isolated and abused, keeping the younger man safe becomes his main mission in life.
As Chip’s body and mind heal, he’s surrounded by new friends, who treat him better than his family ever did, and the older man whose gentle ways and tender care make him feel cherished—wanted.
When Ollie channels his all into being the perfect Daddy for this sweet boy, can Chip be brave enough to hope one last time?
Come along for another heartwarming tale in the Takoda Universe, where bonds are formed, friendships thrive, and the Daddies love with their whole hearts. Sometimes on the journey of life, there is healing and more love than we ever dreamed possible.
** Trigger Warning: Several mentions of off-page domestic violence.
REVIEW:
Ollie gets a boy of his own!!!!!!!!!!
This book is about Ollie the quiet bouncer who is always on the door of The Tap Tavern. We have met him as a side character many times before in the books set within the Takoda Universe where he doles out wise words of wisdom to the Boys and Daddies at the pub.
When Chip one of Nigel’s friends (both of whom we originally met in A Monumental Love -Destination Daddies Season Two) suddenly stops all contact Nigel knows something is very wrong. He and his Daddy, Omar, are going to rescue him, and Ollie is not going to let them go alone.
Sadly, Nigel’s instinct are right and Chip needs somewhere safe to heal up and recover where his ex won’t find him. That rules out Nigel and Omar’s home so Ollie volunteers his home.
All Chip ever wanted was a Daddy to love him and look after him. After the taster he got on his Cuff’d weekend away (A Monumental Love) he knew that was definitely for him. When Harry slowly seduced him, he thought that was exactly what he found until his life became a living nightmare that he didn’t know how to escape from. He can’t believe it when Nigel, Omar and Ollie come to rescue him. No one has ever cared that much about him before.
Chip feels safe in the same vicinity as Ollie which he doesn’t really understand. Ollie is a big, muscley guy who looks like he knows how to inflict pain which should just terrify Chip. Instead, he feels both a little scared but also very safe when he is around.
I have been waiting to find out more about Ollie the quiet bouncer at The Tap forever and loved that we got to in this book. We find out more about his history and why he is a bouncer. During the course of this book Ollie also finds out about himself and his capacity to love, protect and be a good Daddy despite his past.
If you have read the other books in this universe, then you will expect to have some of the other characters pop up and yes they do but less so than in some of the other books. I do love it when they appear though.
