When Kit arrives in the small town of Collier’s Creek, he’s searching for a change of scenery and the solitude to help him overcome his writer’s block. All he wants is to be left alone to finish his novel.
Felix was born in Collier’s Creek, with no plans to return. But after a nasty breakup and losing his job, he grabs the opportunity to help a friend by managing his coffee shop. He’s not going to let life get him down.
Felix is drawn to the mysterious older man who says he wants nothing from him than conversation. But the sizzling looks hint at a lot more. Now he needs to convince Kit to ignore the town gossip about their age gap and theories about Kit’s past, and to give them a chance. If Felix has his way, they’ll find the happy ending they’ve both been searching for.
Blue Skies is a romance between a grumpy author and a barista full of sunshine who never expected to find love in the small town of Collier’s Creek.

REVIEW:
How did I only discover this series on the sixth book??? This is a multi-author series of books and you do not need to have read the prior books to enjoy this one. Although I am guessing that where some of the couples, I have just met got their happy ever afters. I am going to go back and read them on my next holiday!!
In this book we meet Kit an author with writer’s block and a tragic past who comes to Collier Creek to try and find his muse. He is not planning to interact with anybody other than to get the occasional cup of coffee. No he is in Colliers Creek to get words on the page and to get his publisher off his back.
Felix is back in Colliers Creek after his love life and job in the city implode. He loved growing up here and whilst never planning to return he is not going to let being back get him down. He has friends, a temporary job looking after his friend’s coffee shop and the family’s rental cabins to enjoy. Really life in Colliers Creek is not so bad just not what his family wanted for him. It could be what he wants for himself though.
When Kit and Felix meet at the coffee shop there is undeniable attraction between them and whilst Kit is not ready for a relationship, he is willing to at least be friends with Felix. Felix living in the cabin next door to him makes that even easier and gradually they start spending more and more time together. But is life in a small town like Collier’s Creek really what either of them want?
Knowing that this is book six in a series I believe we get to see lots of characters that if you had already read the prior books, you would already know move on with the next chapters of their stories.
This book is a really sweet romance where the two main characters over come their age gap, the town gossip and the baggage of their pasts to get their Happy Ever After.. *sigh.
