Release Blitz, Exclusive Excerpt & Giveaway:
Once Upon a Christmas House by A.D. Ellis
Ivyrson is the quintessential Scrooge when it comes to anything having to do with the holidays. However, the chance to win a hefty chunk of money and free repairs on his old home is enough to entice the man to take part in a holiday-themed reality game.
Emory has had a crush on his older brother’s best friend for years. When the chance to help Ivy possibly win a reality game comes along, Emory doesn’t hesitate. After all, that’s what friends are for.
The two men have known each other forever, but living together and pretending to be a couple means getting to know each other on a whole new level. Can they convince the viewing audience their fake relationship deserves to win the grand prize? Or will Ivy and Emory get swept up in the holiday magic and find themselves falling in love for real?
Once Upon a Christmas House is a steamy, forced-proximity, fake relationship, M/M Christmas romance between a grumpy Scrooge and his best friend’s cheery little brother.

Silas pulled his phone from his pocket and moved to the edge of his seat.
“Let’s get a few shots now, then I’ll leave you two to strategize and prepare for your eight weeks of bliss—assuming you make it that long.” He gestured between us. “Here’s your first challenge, look couple-y. Be cute. Show us the love and good holiday cheer.”
Shit.
Okay, we could do this.
Before I could give it any more thought, Emory took my hand, stilling the flipping of my key chain, and leaned close. The press of his lips against my cheek wasn’t uncomfortable, just surprising, but I went with it as Silas snapped a couple pictures.
“Look at each other,” Silas instructed.
I turned to look at Emory. He was all up in my space, but it was an easy closeness and we shared a slightly uncomfortable chuckle as we tried to decide what to do.
“Do the whole foreheads together thing, people like that shit,” Silas grumped.
Shifting slightly, I pressed my forehead against Emory’s.
He smelled of coffee, citrus, and mint along with the subtle undertone of just Emory. Was it shampoo? Product? Deodorant? Whatever the mixture of scents, I definitely couldn’t complain.
In our little bubble, for a fraction of a second, my body relaxed for the first time since finding out my best friend had been injured. Closing my eyes, I just enjoyed the soft, easy quiet of the moment.
“Well, hot damn,” Silas muttered as he stuffed his phone back in his pocket and stood. “You know, part of the selection process was pure chance. Part of it was having a great story—the type that would capture the audience and really pull them in. Part of it was having the look—attractive people are easy to root for. I remember thinking when you and the original Bell were chosen that, one, you made it through on pure luck, and two, you at least had the right look—both hot.” He paused with his hand on the door, Emory and I following him from the office to the front. “Don’t get me wrong, I still think this,” he gestured between us, “is going to be a hard sell, but you’ve got a thousand percent better chance than the original fake relationship had.”
Escape into addictive, sexy, emotional M/M romance.
A.D. Ellis is an Indiana girl, born and raised. She spends much of her time in central Indiana as an instructional coach/teacher in the inner city of Indianapolis, being a mom to two amazing teens, and wondering how she and her husband of over two decades haven’t driven each other insane yet. A lot of her time is also devoted to phone call avoidance and her hatred of cooking.
She loves chocolate, hot tea, sweet wine with friends, pizza, and naps along with reading and writing romance. These loves don’t leave much time for housework, much to the chagrin of her husband. Who would pick cleaning the house over a nap or a good book? She uses any extra time to increase her fluency in sarcasm.
A.D. uses she/they pronouns.
