REVIEW:
I am so enjoying my trip to Rocktoberfest this year!
Ted Clayton has been enjoying his rise to fame, becoming one of the best known keyboard players around, playing with Hayden Koal. After last year’s disaster, being set up by those cricked cops in Vegas, Ted is looking forward to a very quiet break visiting his widower Grandpa, who lives in a senior RV park in Mesa. But Grandpa has plans the moment he arrives. When Ted sees a fellow musician suddenly dumped right before a performance his heart goes out to the cutie and he steps in to help out on guitar. August is having a bad time with his now ex-best friend Rodrick. First Rodrick sabotaged, him by making him feel bad right before preforming in the finals of the singing show he convinced him to compete on. Then he walks out on him right before their gig. But then a wonderful man stepped up to help out and saved the day! Now August just needs to convince the hot guy to come along with him on his big break at the casino. But when August finally discovers who has been helping him out he’s beyond humiliated! Can a world class musician and an up-and-coming singer make it work so it’s More than October for them?
Oh my goodness gracious how I loved this book. The sweetness of both men for their Grandfathers. The protectiveness of sweet, naïve, trusting August by Ted. The love that each man felt but was afraid it was too soon to express. The devastation they felt when things went south. August and Ted were made for each other. If this had been a shifter novel I would say that they were true fated mates. They were meant to be together and everyone who loved these two knew it!
But the part that torn me to pieces the most was the utter destruction of August by two men that were suppose to care about him but did everything in their corrupt and evil ways to destroy him. His piece of crap father and that disgusting and despicable “friend” Rodrick deserved to burn in hell for what they did to that sweet young man. Thankfully his grandparents took him in early in life but Ted is the one that showed him what true and unconditional love was.
Author Blake Allwood wove a story of strength and determination against all odds and it will touch your heart and make you believe.
