Let It Breathe by Kristian Parker
Queens Crescent, Book 5
Simon Harrington has two great loves, the first being his son, Luca, and the second, wine. As a premier importer, Simon has built a business that allows him to live on Queens Crescent, one of London’s most exclusive addresses. Yet that life is under threat—one of Simon’s main clients has gone bust.
When Simon’s ex-wife nags him to find a man and stop hiding behind their son, Simon feels change is in the air. And when he meets Rodrigo Costa at a party, everything turns upside down. This man is the most gorgeous hunk Simon has ever laid eyes on. Even better, it appears nightclub owner Rodrigo could be the answer to Simon’s business woes.
The chemistry between them is off the scale from the first moment they meet. However, Simon soon discovers Rodrigo is running from his own demons. Simon will have to let his guard down completely to find the happiness he craves. Is he brave enough to do that?

Simon shifted in the chair. “No problem. I have news…”
Before he had a chance to continue, his phone let out a bleep he’d never heard before. He frowned at the offending item that sat on the table in front of them.
“Odd,” he said. “Anyway, Monifa has invited us to the vineyard.”
“In South Africa?”
As he said the words, Simon knew how ridiculous it all sounded. Rodrigo wouldn’t go that far with someone like him. The man was opening a new club. He must have a list as long as his arm of things far more important to sort out.
“Well, yes. I mean I told her you were busy. I wasn’t suggesting we should go. Just that it’s good she is so interested.”
Rodrigo seemed deep in thought. Simon noticed his nose creased when he focused on something. He fought back a smile.
“Why shouldn’t we go?” Rodrigo asked.
Again, Simon’s phone rang out with the alien sound.
“Jesus,” Simon said, grabbing the phone and stuffing it in his pocket.
“You’re popular. All those boys swiping right.”
Heat surged through Simon’s body. How on earth had he figured him out? “How…”
Rodrigo had a glint in his eye. “I have been known to be fairly popular in my time too.”
His cologne invaded Simon’s nostrils. He breathed in the notes of amber, cedarwood and patchouli. The man smelt of heat.
Not moving away, Rodrigo stared into his eyes.
“So South Africa then?”
“You want to go?” Simon asked.
Finally, Rodrigo moved away, the fresh air dragging Simon back to life.
“Why not?” Rodrigo said. “I’ve been working way too hard. A few days drinking wine in the sun doesn’t sound too bad. I’m sure you don’t realise how truly hideous your British October weather is.”
Simon giggled nervously. “Right. Well. That sounds great. I’ll tell Monifa we accept.”
Oh fuck. What have I got myself into?

About the Author:
I have written for as long as I could write. In fact, before, when I would dictate to my auntie. I love to read, and I love to create worlds and characters.
I live in the English countryside. When I’m not writing, I like to get out there and think through the next scenario I’m going to throw my characters into.
Inspiration can be found anywhere, on a train, in a restaurant or in an office. I am always in search of the next character to find love in one of my stories. In a world of apps and online dating, it is important to remember love can be found when you least expect it.
