Corrupting the innocence of the mafia kingpin’s son is all part of the job for top government spy Kyle Grant. Sebastian is merely a pawn in Kyle’s quest to stop criminals from acquiring a dangerous weapon. Whatever happens to Sebastian once his brutal father realizes his son has been compromised isn’t Kyle’s problem.
So why can’t he stop thinking about Sebastian’s sweet, inexperienced kisses?
Kyle has no time for regret and even less for feelings. All that matters is his next assignment. The next hunt.
Except this one isn’t over—and Sebastian might be the key.
Dodging bullets, Kyle kidnaps Sebastian and takes him on the run. Can they stay one step ahead of the mafia assassins on their trail?
And will they surrender to the red-hot connection between them?
The Spy and the Mobster’s Son is a gay romance from Keira Andrews featuring an age gap, first times, forced proximity, and of course a happy ending. Previously published as The Chimera Affair.
BONUS epilogue The Argentine Seduction included!
REVIEW:
Sebastian’s life has been turned upside down and he should feel way more upset about it right?
Kyle doesn’t care about anyone..or at least that’s what he keeps telling himself. It’s all about the job and that’s all that matterm until it doesn’t.
This story is cute. And violent. Funny how a story can be both at once. It’s very “Harlequin Romance” until it isn’t and the blood starts to flow.
Keira Andrews writes relatable characters that are interesting and fun. I adored Sebastian from the beginning but I’m a sucker for a sob story. Kyle was a little harder to connect with, but that’s just because the author is very good at character building and he wasn’t very nice at the beginning.
I love spy stories. I love the thrill of watching characters sneak around and holding my breath while waiting to see if they get caught. There’s bad guys (who were really bad) we love to hate, good guys (and girls) who leave us wondering if we can trust them or not and a dangerous situation that the world needs saving from. That part is all great.
However, there were no real twists or surprises. It was very obvious where the whole thing was going but that was okay. Sometimes we need those reads that we know will give us what we want in the end.
I enjoyed this story like I do any romantic spy thriller, but it was all just a little too predictable for my taste. I like it when stories make me think and keep me wondering what’s just around the bend.
However if you are a big fan of Harlequin or Mills and Boon, you will definitely like this book. It will take you on a short journey full of kickass and sweetness and there’s nothing wrong with that.
The epilogue is just plain Mr. and Mrs. Smith kind of fun and while this book is a story on it’s own, it’s very obvious that there’s going to be a sequel and I will be looking for that too!
