REVIEW:
Here comes another adventure with Sky and Nolan. This is Disaster #4 and what an adventure it is!
If you have read the first three books before this then you know all the mayhem that Nolan and Sky has gotten into (or pulled into) by now. In this short novel, we will be entertained by Sky being taken into the underworld to settle a conflict between the King of the Underworld and his subjects/minions/demons. Sky’s sandwiches has become a source of conflict. Demons now want to be summoned by Sky so that they can also get sandwiches as bribes? In order to settle it, Sky has to let the King taste it so that he can decide whether to grant the request of the demons. Needless to say, it all ended up with the King and some of his closest friends hanging out in Sky’s house eating up all his sandwiches. But when the King came through the door from the Underworld into our world, some things slipped in with him and these somethings has now cause havoc to ensue.
Graves all over the place have been overturned (don’t know if it is the right term) with bodies in the act of coming out of their graves. Well some actually did, lying down beside their graves, as if they ran out of energy to stand up and walk out of there (now that would be really scary). When Sky and Nolan went to investigate, they got kidnapped. Different earth witches kidnapped them thinking that all these occurrences was due to the Necromancer. When they were able to explain that Sky didn’t have anything to do with it and promising to find out what these creatures are and send them back where they came from, Sky and Nolan were allowed to go.
What happens after makes an adventure that Nolan will never forget forever. Meeting witches (who by the way thought that male witches cannot do anything but soon found out that that is so far away from the truth) and actually being fans of his is just one of the perks of being with Sky. Nolan has never shied away from Sky, even after knowing who Sky is and what he can do. He is falling for his Necromancer big time. Sky is a powerful Necromancer. Meeting Sky’s friends, the Varik clan of Vampires, witches and wolves has made Nolan’s life more colorful and certainly not boring.
If you love love stories with more than a dash of adventure on the side then you should definitely get this series, you will have a fun time reading them. Ms. Jocelynn Drake, as usual you have outdone yourself with these books. I love them, they are well-written, short but definitely sweet. I would really love to see Sky and Nolan in the upcoming series with the new clan of Vampires arriving into town.
