BLURB:
Shiloh Williams lost his husband in the bullriding ring two years ago and hasn’t been able to move on. It’s been so long since he was happy he’s forgotten how to be. After making the long drive up to Vermont to visit friends, he finally decides that getting out of Texas might be the only way to leave the hard days of his past behind.
Tate Dutton is a high school math teacher in Burlington, and a part time driver for a local brewery in the evenings. It takes more than his teacher’s salary to keep his small dairy farm afloat, but he loves it so much, he doesn’t mind the extra work.
Shiloh has taken up residence in the back booth of a local bar where he’ll nurse one whiskey all night long. Tate has seen the cowboy many times, as it’s his favorite hangout too. The first time Tate stumbles into a conversation with Shiloh it doesn’t go so well, but Tate doesn’t seem to get the hint and before long Shiloh has no choice but to indulge the younger man.
Is there any hope for these two? Time will tell whether the grumpy Shiloh or the sunny Tate proves to be more stubborn, or if friends will interfere and bring them together.
REVIEW:
I am thrilled to back in Vermont and seeing the wonderful people there warm your heart.
Shiloh has had two hard, long years since the loss of his beloved husband Matty in a horrific bull riding accident. Skyler and his husband Beckett have gotten him to come up to Vermont to help out and get away from his daily pain and sorrow. So now he spends his days watching cooking show reruns in his tiny apartment and evenings at the bar with his one glass of whiskey and memories of his husband. When a friendly fellow patron starts paying attention to him he’s semi shocked. This sweet little twink Tate actually seems to want to become his friend. And now is seriously offering to put a greenhouse on his farm so Shiloh can pursue his passion of growing plants and food. Tate works two jobs and has his small farm. He loves his being a High School Math Teacher and the micro beer delivery job helps out with his other passion’s (his farm) expenses. But the broody cowboy that sits at the last booth by the restrooms at the bar every night has caught his eye and not too much longer…his heart 💕
Both Tate and Shiloh worked for me. Tate was just the perfect amount of sunshine to make Shiloh finally come out of self hibernation and start to bloom and grow again like his beloved plants. They both complimented each other. Shiloh could finally start to do his thing with plants and with that started to thaw out of his big freeze to start living life to the fullest. And that man could smoke me brisket and time. I can just imagine the bark on that meat.
I loved that this book is in the Wrecked Universe and let us catch back up with Skyler and Beckett and their bundles of joy. Those three sweet kids still grab me in the feels. Miss Charlie has become quite the little Rodeo Princess and Noah and Sierra are growing up so fast. I loved that they all came to the support of Shi when his Matty was killed and he became part of their family.
I truly enjoy this Wrecked Universe and look forward to more books hopefully in the future.

wrecked is one of my all time favorites of ba tortuga and thats saying something since i love all her books and she’s an auto buy for me.seeds and sunshine fits perfectly in the series and i loved catching up with the kids.ba writes with so much feeling and her side characters, kids and animals have their own distictive personalities,it seems effortless for her.i know its very hard work to write and put your work out there for people to look at and she is very brave.but, not to worry.her writing is a true talent.clean, sweet, spicy and hot.i am soo hoping for a sequel to “cowboy haven”and see how those triplets grow.if you haven’t read “wrecked” by ba go get it.you won’t be disappointed!
