BLURB:
I hired Ben under false pretenses. He may think I don’t know who he truly is, but I do.
Even so, I’m tempted to trust him. His family may be full of con artists, but Ben is too innocent for his own good.
Trustworthy or not, I’m going to keep him in my sights. I know better than to turn my back on a potential enemy, but watching Ben is no hardship.
Before he’s worked for me a week, I know that sooner or later, I’m going to make him mine—in every possible way. It doesn’t matter who I have to eliminate to keep him safe. No one but me is ever going to touch him.
REVIEW:
Ben was forced by his criminal father and brother, to infiltrate and get some important information from Montgomery Enterprises. He doesn’t want to, but they will hurt or even kill him.
Miles Montgomery, the CEO himself, knows all about Benjamin and his motives. He wants to keep an eye on Ben. Still, there are other reasons why he wants Ben close.
Miles is shocked about his instant strong feelings for Benjamin, it was a long time ago he felt something for someone, always shielding himself to get close.
They work and fit perfectly and Miles loves to spoil Ben. In no time they both caught feelings.
What a mess. Both have secrets, and both can’t find a moment to confess. This asks for disaster.
I found it quite an entertaining story, and read it in one sit. It was an easy read, at times predictable, but I didn’t mind, I enjoyed it.
The main characters were nicely portrayed, maybe cliché, again I didn’t mind, the wealthy powerful, protective CEO, and his lovely, vulnerable assistant who’s quite overwhelmed.
In this story was room made for business matters, friendship, sexiness, and let’s not forget the action, all nicely composed.
Overall, it was an entertaining read.
