Disaster #3: Date Night
Date night! Date night!
It’s date night!
Life has settled down and Nolan has agreed to go on a date with Sky. There’s just one catch: Sky has to promise that it’s a totally normal, non-magical date.
I bet you can already see where this is going…
It would have been a totally normal, non-magical date if it weren’t for the purple fungus, a completely minor nonlethal mostly harmless but useful poisoning, and the pig.
Sigh…Will Nolan give him a second chance after this mess?
REVIEW:
Our adventure continues with our lovely Sky and Nolan. They are now going on their first date, with Sky promising that it will be a non-Magical sort of date. But I think they forgot one very important thing, for witches, it is a full moon. They didn’t think about this until after they have been on their third weird event for the night.
As they are about to embarked on their date (lmao), Sky received a call from Mad asking him to bring his sort-of emergency kit to his house as he needs it pretty urgently. Of course, Nolan would not let Sky not help his friend. Upon encountering all the purple fungus that is over Mad’s house and all over in it, Sky has to help his friend. But he made sure that Nolan understands.
From Mad’s house, they proceeded to the Art festival before going for some Italian. Encountering Nolan’s best friend who begs that she be let off the date she was on, the night gets even weirder with Red calling Sky asking for a pick up because his car broke down. Upon getting Red, Sky and Nolan realized that Red is carrying a pig in his arms. When Red told them who the pig was, they had to bring Red and Damon to their friend’s house, Moon’s. Upon reaching Moon’s house, they realized that a pack of Wolves is occupying it for the full moon. Meeting Wyatt and River, Bel Varik’s mates, and learning that they are helping Moon curve the over population of deer in the area, Nolan’s interest as an author got piqued (well, it has been piqued ever since he met his Necromancer) to be honest.
Meeting Bel and learning how kind and gentle he is, bringing loads of food for the whole pack, they got comfortable after Damon was turned back to human form. But then Damon’s boyfriend, the one who imprisoned him arrived, Sky got scared that it might be the start of another war between the vampires, wolves and witches. But Nolan, his smart and sweet love, defused it by talking to Damon’s boyfriend mentioning the fact that soon it is Moving Day, a day all witches prepare for and maybe that is why everyone is on edge, not excluding Damon’s boyfriend who is so afraid that something might happen to Damon.
After all the drama of the night, at last, Sky and Nolan were able to spend alone time together, just at home, having a nightcap. Nolan refused to discount their first date, as Sky keeps begging him, saying that it was one of the best dates he has been on.
This is so much fun to read, and seeing Bel interacting with his mates’ pack is so beautiful. I look forward to the next book, when is it coming again?
