Fallon never wanted a fated mate. Now he has two.
Dragon omega Fallon is recovering from the abuse he endured in his previous clan, and he’s grateful for the friendship he’s building with his roommates, beta Duer and pregnant omega Yitro.
When Duer announces he thinks they’re fated mates, Fallon is furious. He doesn’t want fated mates. He wants to be able to make his own choices.
It’s hard for him to deny the truth, however, and slowly but surely, the three of them develop a close bond. But Yitro is about to give birth, Duer is troubled by his past, and Fallon is getting impatient.
And then their enemies show up, and it’s time to take a stand.
Dragon’s Stand is the fifth book in the Irresistible Dragons series, which needs to be read in order. The romance in this book ends on a happily-ever-after, but the overall plot will continue in the next book.
REVIEW:
Finally…Babies! Lots and lots of babies!
In Dragon’s Magic we learned that omega dragon shifter Fallon, beta wolf shifter Duer and pregnant omega wolf shifter Yitro discover that they are fated mates and are questioning the fates. Now they question if all the feelings that are emerging are real love and attraction or is it simply the mating bond. Yitro questions why his mates would desire him when he is very pregnant, by means of in-vitro, with the pack alpha’s baby. Fallon is still reeling that the two wolf shifters would desire him after all he has been subjected to by his previous clans Alpha dragons. On top of all that, Duer is questioning why he suddenly has sexual urges when he has been diagnosed as sex-repulsed as a result of his assault/trauma for over two years? Can these three brave men make a family with all their baggage? Is it the pull of the fated mate bond or is love truly in the air?
This book has been full of revelations but the best being that, even though they had always been thought of as just omegas, Fallon and his other omegas he rescued have shown their powers and abilities to protect and serve the pack and clan when needed. And Duer and Yitro’s Little Dragon makes a HUGE stand to protect Erwan and their new clan/pack against the Five powerful Murphy Clan Alpha’s! Great things do idea come in small packages and Fallon proves this over and over again.
But the biggest thing personally for me was we got all five healthy babies born. What a handful those quintuplet baby dragons are for Riordan and his mates. And who wouldn’t be totally over the moon for Ainle, the future Pack Alpha 💕 They are all so precious. I am curious about the fourth dragon baby Harley. I have feeling that they are going to be someone very important in the future with some very special powers.
A particularly touching part for me was the offer Finlay gave to Erwan. The respect that the dragons have for their new king and how this pack and clan are growing through slightly unorthodox methods is fascinating and heartwarming. I am hoping that either Duer can successfully impregnate Fallon or possible Rhene can help so not only Fallon gets a chance at pregnancy but Ainle has a blood sibling.
Oh my goodness gracious! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book on this series. I am so in awe of Erwan and how he rose to the occasion at the Dragon Council, leaving no room for argument that he not only belonged there, as King Erwan Doyle, king of the true Doyle clan, but showing his power as the White Dragon and speaking of his alliance with Lidon Hayes, the True Alpha. This is going to be the showdown I have been waiting for. Erwan finally flexing his true authority over King Cladhaire, his father and his evil uncle Baoth. And watching him finally take the ownership and power he deserved. Because he is the White Dragon!
