Milo hasn’t had an easy life. He was orphaned at birth and bounced around group and foster homes all his life. He just wants to fit in and belong. But the date he met on line is only 15 minutes in and he knows he has to get out of there. Unfortunately he’s out in the middle of nowhere and his date drove. But when the date tries to take a bite out of him he runs for his very life. The sweet omega that smells like cherries and vanilla that the Grizzly Ridge Search and Rescue squad is searching for after the wolf shifter called them in for help story just isn’t adding up He called them to help find his missing mate but doesn’t have anything that belongs to the omega in question. When Everett, lead tracker, finds the faint scent he follows it in his bear until he finds the hypothermic young man and his bear knows one thing
for sure…that wolf lied because this is his mate!
I don’t recall any other stories I’ve read where the rescued omega has no clue there are shifters in his world. So Everett and his family had to guard their secret why trying to keep the man that is his mate safe. But the unbelievable pull to Everett by Milo makes the cautious young man be brave and take what he wants. I loved that Milo finally got what he longed for all his life, love, acceptance and family. He was a very driven young man to succeed against all odds and make a comfortable life for himself. He has had to fight hard to make it and he did. He had everything he needed except the one elusive part…love. Everett was the perfect fated mate for him. He had not only the love but the welcoming family for the young man. I loved how brave Milo became to take what her truly wanted when he realized that
Everett being a shifter didn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. He found his one that he belonged with and went with it.
I loved all of Everett’s big bear family and how accepting they were. Momma Melinda and how she took to Milo immediately. And how she saw how much he needed their family connection along with his mate. She was the Momma he never had and had longed for all his life. And her doing the baking and including him was really a special way for them to bond. I loved that Milo came full circle from being that orphan to helping with the orphan home.
I really hope that this wonderful new author continues this series and we get the sweet omega brother Danny’s story next.

First, I hugely love the world of fated mates, shifters, scents, and protective alphas, and when there’s also mpreg… perfect!!
This one was really good!
Everett is a big Alpha bear shifter, and part of the Grizzly Ridge Search and Rescue squad.
One day they get an alarm about a missing omega. His alpha made the call.
That made Everett cautious, how does an alpha lose his omega? The tracks speak of struggling. The omega’s scent is delicious, Everett is sure, it’s his fated mate!
Milo is determined to survive, running the rough landscape, with cold rivers, and rocks, he’s hurt but everything is better than that frightening alpha who wanted to bite him.
Milo is a human omega and doesn’t know about the existence of the shifters’ world.
Luckily Everett found his omega on time and takes him to his pack and his parents’ home.
He has to be patient, to show this sweet vulnerable omega he is his.
Milo is an orphan and touch-starved, he always yearns to be someone’s first choice. He was always alone, never someone’s choice, let alone a first choice. And here is this big Alpha who swears he’ll protect him, always take care of him, and offers him a family.
Milo is cautious, he’s very attracted to Everett, and he loves his warm and protective family, but there’s something going on. He demands to know the truth or he’ll leave.
Milo is still in danger, the rogue Alpha wolf shifter is looking for Milo, and he’s near!
Gosh, this story was everything, a big protective alpha, a vulnerable but brave omega, a welcoming pack, and a dangerous threat, there’s time made for a sweet romance, pack matters, and exciting action.
The story is well balanced, with a great dynamic, palpable feelings, a comfortable pace, and super entertainingly written!
