And now it’s too late.
Though slowly dying inside, you pick yourself up, swallow your pride, and grieve from the side lines. And everything is fine, until the day you notice him acting strangely.
Why is he unhappy? A shadow of his former self?
You know him better than anyone and something is not right. Against good advice, you confront him. And risk ruining everything.
Cloud White is a friends-to-lovers romance with a hard-won happy ending. Be kind to yourselves and heed the trigger warnings.
REVIEW:
Dang, the blurb alone gave me already goosebumps and a lump in my throat.
I’m not sure how to express my love for this story, what it gave me, how it’s amazingly written, heartfelt. I tried to keep it short, I think I failed.
Milo finally understood he had to tell Mungo, his best friend, or maybe show him, he loves him, as in he’s his forever guy. Only, he’s too late. Mungo has moved on and found his one.
Milo tries to pick up his shattered heart and move on. Mungo was his everything.
Getting the insight is even more devastating.
Mungo is a big bearded, uber-softhearted man, the embodiment of kindness, and sadly he’s getting more miserable with the day. In denial about his current life, and it’s getting worse for him. From a mile far you could see the train come crashing.
“He’s become one of us” My heart, when you understand the true meaning behind these words.
Being apart, their lives are quite miserable and both try to survive in their own way.
A lot is happening, thank fuck a big part of the story Mungo and Milo are still involved with each other. I’m sorry if this is spoiling but for me it was significant, and reassuring to read further and feel a bit less anxious.
“Sweetheart”
Milo’s topping was magnificent, just like him I was holding my breath, magnificent!
There are hilarious moments I laughed out loud, let’s just say really loud!!
Besides a few new characters, I hope we will read more about, Frankie and Lysander, Tristan and Dom are there, yes, we are among rich company, and I don’t mean the money.
With Milo and Mungo, the author created two very special precious characters, my heart cried for them. The snarky humor was formidable, if you know this author you know how good it will be.
The writing was exquisite I wanted to highlight so many lines and scenes, now that would be spoiling, wouldn’t it?
The combination of heartbreaking matters, heartwarming and many humorous moments was grand!!
Straight up to my 5+++ shelf and it’s just number 4 of the 220 reads this year so far, that says enough!
Highly recommended!!
