What happens when vengeance and love come together?

REVIEW:
This dark and crazy ride picks up where the last left off. I’ll admit that I lost track of this series and didn’t realize there were two new books out, so I jumped right in, afraid I would need a refresher, as it had been a while since I read the previous book. That was not the case, as it all quickly comes back as the story continues.
Marcus and Keegan are still sort of tip-toeing around each other as their feelings grow until their circumstances change and they are forced to turn to Il Padrone.
This also brings us to the Emilio/Allesandro relationship and the various other shifting dynamics that are taking place under that roof.
As the tides turn, it becomes clearer that Jax is the one who now needs to be stopped and everyone else is trying to deal with the fallout from all of his recent attempts to take down Allesandro and take over as Il Padrone. Everyone is trying to hold things together as a family as they deal with the latest developments while, at the same time, dealing with the various trust issues past events have created.
This story must absolutely be read from the beginning and warnings should be heeded. Things that haven’t changed from day one are the dark aspects, i.e. violence and torture when needed. But, there is definitely a story worth getting engrossed in here and characters that we have watched develop. I’m glad I was able to pick this series back up and look forward to seeing how it all plays out.
