REVIEW:
A really fast read that will warm your heart.
Henry is always on his own. He’s the forgotten one. Even his neglectful parents would forget they had brought him to work with them when he was young and leave him in the bookstore over night. Thankfully there were plenty of books and a cozy chair to curl up in. Not Henry is the caretaker. His mom is gone and his dad has dementia so bad it’s like he doesn’t exist. So Henry goes on with his life with his beloved kitty Magpie and his trusted stuffie Merlin the unicorn by his side to keep him company. His days are filled with running the family bookstore in a strip mall in Vegas and Saturday evenings, after he goes and checks on his dad as the dutiful son, spent as a little at the BDSM Cordes to regress and unwind. If he gets a moment to play with a Daddy that’s a plus. But when the two men he had had eyes on since a chance meeting at his shop want to play Henry’s life just might have taken a good turn and might just get Two Daddies for Henry!
This was a quick short story/novella that is part of the Dirty Daddies Pride 2023 collection. I could easily see this book becoming a full novel. We got a glimpse as to the dynamic developing with Mitchell and his best friend Jensen and the puzzle piece of Henry that made the three fit. I liked all three men and really desired to get more of their story. The back stories of how Jensen secretly loved but never shared it with Mitchell for 20 years and the neglectful past Henry had endured from his “too into their own world” parents was heart wrenching. I think the total story would flow like a TL book I’m accustom to if it was revamped into their own full length book. I really liked the premise of their story and the men. I just desire more!
