REVIEW:
I really enjoyed diving back into another Twilight Falls book. Hunter meets an enigmatic stranger in a bar, in the city, far from Twilight Falls, a passionate encounter, that couldn’t go anywhere so he creeps out like a thief in the night.
Imagine his surprise when a new store opens in town, across from his own business, selling similar
things, is the stranger he can’t get out of his mind.
Theo is in Twilight Falls to open his latest business venture and soon the shenanigans begin. Hunter and Theo are so sweet, even though they are business rivals, they are never mean or hateful, it’s more good-natured rivalry with each willing to help the other out. It was heartwarming to see such a positive portrayal of business dealings. The explosive chemistry from their one-night stand is never far from their minds and soon circumstances have them spending much more time together.
Hunter offers to drive Theo to and from work when he hurts his foot/leg the tension between them soars off the charts. Theo is relentless in his pursuit of Hunter, not put off by his reluctance. He knows how good they are together and is determined to show Hunter how great they could be together. Hunter is struggling with an incident in his past, that still haunts him in adulthood. Can he confront his past, to enable him to have a future with Theo? He also worries how Theo will see him once he finds out about the past Hunter has tried to bury deep down.
The other thing I like about the Twilight Falls books is that it’s about a group of best friends, finding love, so characters we’ve met in previous books, appear in these books and I’m excited to meet the friends that have been mentioned, in their own books later in the series. The friends are so supportive of each other and are funny when they get together for Poker nights. They remind me of my friends, funny, sarcastic, boisterous but extremely loyal and willing to do anything for their friends.
I’m excited to read the next book in the series.
