Riley didn’ t know home wasn’ t a place… It’ s a person.
Riley would rather sell himself on the streets again than go back home. Only a chance encounter with a stranger saved him from becoming another statistic as a teenager, but now he’ s aging out of the youth shelter and has nowhere left to go— until a kind act from the shelter’ s director sends him straight to Lennox.
When Lennox’ s older sister begs him to rent out his spare room to a kid about to become homeless, he gets way more than he bargained for. He expects an acne-spotted, Red-Bull-bingeing teenager. What he does not expect is Riley.
Riley, who has a dominant streak a mile wide but somehow submits so beautifully.
Riley, who has a tough exterior but hides a sensitive soul.
Riley, who might just be what Lennox never knew he was looking for.
REVIEW:
First, we get an introduction where we get to know Riley, as a young boy, homeless, a little about what he’s been through, and at last ended up at Lennox’s sisters’ LGBTQ youth shelter.
Lennox and Riley meet briefly.
Then forward four years, Riley outgrow the shelter and ended up renting a room from Lennox.
Riley had the most terrible youth you can imagine. Throughout this journey, we get to know his story.
Lennox and his older sister weren’t not accepted by their parents for being queer,
Both men have to overcome their youth to accept who they are now.
Lennox is an artist, chaotic and a bit clumsy, it’s kind of funny and endearing.
Riley works as a dishwasher and at a kennel, when he lost his income he knows he doesn’t want to go back to what he did before to gain money.
Living with Lennox brings them closer, and they explore their needs and wants. While earlier sexual and BDSM experiences weren’t the best, what they have together is way better. The freedom they give each other, the support and acceptance was everything.
They switched so easily, they were a perfect fit, and it’s a pleasure to watch them.
There’s a lot of sexiness, there’s fun, games, kink, gay p*rn, addiction struggle, suspense, there are energetic supportive friends and horrible family.
While it was a nicely written story, for my pleasure it had too much sexual activity, I’m a bad person, I scrolled through most of the scenes, looking for other things.
At some moment there’s a turn in the story and for me not quite in proportion compared to the rest of the story. In my humble opinion, there were too many things that got attention, important parts got underdeveloped.
Sorry to say the whole picture didn’t feel balanced.
I also think this story needs trigger warnings, you can only find them on the publisher’s site.
