And while it probably wasn’t strictly ethical to use his position to claim Nate as his companion, Cooper’ s looking forward to flying to Western Australia and spending time with this gorgeous boy. He expects a pleasant summer fling— no more, no less.
Then he meets Nate, and the chemistry between them is scorching. Cooper falls hard— and recognises Nate as his true mate. Now he just has to figure out how to tell him. Oh, and there’ s the small matter of what, exactly, Cooper does for a living.
But he’s sure it’ll be fine.

REVIEW:
Nate Watson is looking for a change. He’s not looking forward to a summer in the burning heat of an Australian summer out on worksites. His alternative idea is to sign up for a summer respite. He doesn’t know if he will be accepted but he applies for a shifter program. He knows what he signed up for. He loves sex. The ShifterCorp Companion program is the perfect answer for him to have a banging hot summer out of the heat of his bricklayer job.
Cooper Hudson is a bit of an enigma. He’s the last minute replacement for the first companion that Nate has selected. Not that Nate is complaining! Cooper is the hottest guy he’s ever seen and Nate is surprised at how much he wants him. Nate’s a bit nervous about the imbalance of power – it’s clear Cooper is rich and connected and Nate is a tradesman – not really the same social or economic circles. But they obviously have a very strong connection. Cooper’s secretive behavior however plays into Nate’s insecurities. Cooper can’t really want someone like him for longer than their contracted week. Can he?
Nate feels like he needs to protect himself from getting too attached to Cooper. He’s not even a local. This can’t go past it’s expiration date of this contract. But Cooper is keeping something to himself that he’s afraid to share as well. Because if he screws this up, it will have real repercussions for both of them. And the longer he waits to tell Nate the whole truth, the more he’s afraid he’s going to lose Nate.
This is a very hot and sexy story – emphasis on the sexy. There is a lot of time spent in the hotel room 😉 Because this is a shifter mates story, there is the expected fast connection/pull. They fall hard and fast for each other because they are mates. Which Nate has no idea even exist. Cooper has a hard time figuring out the timing to share the truth. I found them to be sort of sweet and funny together. For an erotic story of fates mates, it’s a sexy and fast read. If you’re into these kinds of stories, I think you’ll enjoy. Don’t expect a ton of character development and it’s the opposite of a slow burn, but it’s definitely an enjoyable story. Recommended
