I’m taking part in a promotion this month called Can’t Fight the Feeling.

I’m a huge believer in MCs having to work for their HEA. Even if their partner is their soulmate/fated mate and they’re meant to be together, that shouldn’t mean that their happy ending will drop into their lap without any effort. Relationships need to work, and that doesn’t disappear once they do get together.

In my sale book this month – Shades of Sepia – Ben and Simon are soulmates. Even before they’ve met, seeing each other ignites that need to be together. They talk through their problems, though Ben often needs to remind Simon of that fact, as he’s had decades to get out of that habit.

Being soulmates doesn’t mean they can’t argue or agree with every decision their partner makes. Although I’ve heard making up afterwards is totally worth it.
