Aiden Sewell had spent his entire life on the run. He never knew stability. Never had a place he truly called home. But this tiny town in Colorado had put its hooks into him and the idea of running again was just painful. Not to mention the sexy older man who frequented the coffee shop where Aiden worked. He’d been fascinated with the man from the first time he saw him, and apparently, the infatuation went both ways.
From the moment Max Campbell found out he was a father, his young son became his world. He certainly didn’t have time for dating. But the guy who worked at the coffee shop fascinated him. Under that polite smile and customer service friendliness, there was a storm brewing behind those brown eyes, one that made Max desperate to get to know the real Aiden.
So when Max’s son took matters into his own hands to set the two of them up, neither man can say no. But Aiden had secrets he won’t talk about and built walls so thick that Max may not be able to break them. But something about Aiden made him want to try.
When Aiden’s worst fears become reality, Max must make a decision. Fight for Aiden with everything he had, or let him go. But Max had never been good about letting things go, and Aiden just might be worth risking it all for.

REVIEW:
This a new-to-me author that quickly grabbed hold of my attention.
Aiden “A” Sewell has been on the run, along with his dear Pops, from his sadistic and abusive father since he was 4 years old. His sperm donor will never stop trying to find him and torture him and Pops. So running was their only choice until Kai and his team at RAM Securities came to their rescue. But being hidden is all he has remembered and knows. Sexy dads that visit his coffee shop with adorable sons just aren’t an option. He has to protect Pops and himself even more with Pops’s cancer looming over them. But when Gray decides that his dad and the barista Max has eyes for need to stop looking and start talking no one can say no to the spunky 6 year old. Sparks are flying but Aiden is just too caught up in his head to let things proceed. Plus saying yes to something puts Max and Gray in the firing line too!
This was a hard book to read at times. The years of mental abuse that Aiden has had put on top of the physical abuse were hard to stomach at times. That man was a complete monster and deserved everything that went down with Kai. And poor Aiden not being able to experience but small snippets of life for fear of discovery and more torture was too much to bear at times. I don’t know how someone that young survives something so horrific. But he and Pops are true survivors!
Max just did it for me. All stuffy dad/businessman on the exterior but sexy lover and caring man on the inside. And that man loves deeply those who are important to him no matter what! He was who both Gray and Aiden needed in their lives and they were so lucky he found them.
I did love that both Gray and Aiden connected so well. They had more in common than they should have had in their short lifetimes. But it made them aware and sympathetic of those around them.
I think that Aiden’s story from his last encounter with his father may be the side story in Kai and Aspen’s book. It makes me desire to read their story also. I think some of the parts of Aiden’s story may have made more sense if I had read those first.
I did love how loyal, supportive and loving all of Max’s family was. They opened their arms to both Aiden and Pops. I particularly liked Max’s best friend Bronx. I read that he will get his own story next.
