Until he meets Cesar; the older, demisexual man that looks at him with stars in his eyes. Cesar is everything Nicholas wishes he had. Responsible, sweet, caring; a perfect potential daddy.
As they grow closer the past threatens to tear them asunder. Nicholas has to decide whether to keep his heart closed or allow himself to fall in love.
Mend is a sweet, low-angst, age play novel with an insecure boy, loving friends, a wonderful Daddy and a happily ever after so delicious it’ll melt you to pieces!
REVIEW:
The final book in this sweet little friends series is finally here!
Nicolas doesn’t have good luck with the Daddies he’s been with. At the ripe old age of 22 he honestly believes that this life is slipping away from him especially now that Kevin unceremoniously dumped him and left him stranded and high and dry! A chance meeting of his boss’s neighbor may be just the ticket to rid his ex out of his brain. He’s always had exceptionally good gaydar and Cesar is pinging all his senses. Cesar knows that the lifestyle has probably left him far behind at his age. Being demisexual doesn’t exactly make meeting and getting to know a little easier either. So cat daddy he is destine to be. But his caring needs are going crazy when he discovers the beautiful but very sad boy on his neighbor’s stoop. But can a broken hearted and insecure boy and a out-of-practice demisexual pediatrician daddy have any chance of happiness and happily ever after?
Cesar was a gem. He’s caring and doting plus his gorgeous body makes him a true catch. But poor Nic is reeling from that nasty Kevin. And trust and commitment are a tough thing to swallow with how fragile his self-confidence and self-worth are. Thankfully Cesar is not only patient and kind but his caring heart is the real deal.
I think that my favorite part of this story was when Cesar surprised Nic with his ultimate dream…a trip to Disneyland. Being a true Disney-aholic I loved seeming Disneyland through his fresh, starry eyes.
I loved how all the boys are best friends and want each to get his own loving and forever Daddy. This book made sure that we saw all four of the little best friends and how their HEA’s continued and solidified. Jaxon and Henry will always be special to me and hearing that they finally tied the knot was great. I would have loved to have been at that wedding. And it was great to hear that Marcus and Simon are headed to the alter too. I just wish that we could have had all the boys marriages. These Daddies were extra special and their boys so precious.
One of the disappointing things in the book was to read in the back of the book that the series is complete even though Theo never got his own book and I really wanted to see how he finally found his own Daddy and how his relationship developed. Plus getting to see how photography lead in his life.
I do recommend that you read each of these books in order. These books fit intricately together to share the whole story of loving and caring Daddies and the little boys that capture their hearts and make their lives finally complete.
