Could a road trip change Ben and Ryder’s life forever?
Ryder has always known he was head over heels in love with Ben. Through the ups and downs of life, moving across the country, and finding jobs at Studio C, the two were inseparable but Ryder always longed for more.
After leaving his hometown, Ben was finally able to transition. Ben always worried that people wouldn’t be able to see him as the alpha he truly was, but finding the guys at Studio C made him realize that once he accepted himself, everyone else would follow suit.
On their way across the country for Ryder’s sister’s baby shower, these two best friends finally talk about things they’ve been holding back since they were teenagers. Will these confessions come too late? Or is it finally their time?
Our Time is the fifth and final book in the Studio C series. This story features a road trip, late night confessions, a trans alpha, mpreg, self-acceptance, found family and of course, a happily ever after.
CW: This book explores transness through the lens of omegaverse. It does contain talks of HRT, past memories of dysphoria, and medical transitioning.
REVIEW:
Author Toby Wise saved the best for last…the long awaited story of Ryder and Ben!
Ryder has been in love with his best friend Ben since they were teens. But things happened long ago that fated night and the two have kept each other at arms length for years! Now together alone on a road trip back home for Ryder’s little sister Rose’s baby shower things finally have come to a head and have to be shared. But will their friendship survive the truth?
I have, as I’m sure everyone who has read this series from the start, wondered what was up with Ryder and Ben. Everyone knows that they have been friends since they were kids. And you just know that something has been brewing below the surface for years. Well we finally got the scoop and I had no clue that this was what their story was and boy oh boy was it a humdinger! Thank goodness Tyler hates flying so they were forced together for days and finally worked it all out. It hurt how much Ben had suffered before he demanded his choice. But Ryder was really an innocent victim in all that went down but never stoped loving or supporting him. Both men choosing to ignore the past lead to many years of torture being kept apart but Ben had to accept his actions and come to grip with who he is now. And wanting Ryder just as bad as Ryder has yearned for Ben finally had to come out.
I’m a bit sad to have this series come to an end but watching this wonderful found family each get their much needed HEA’s has been a treat. I discovered Author Toby Wise with this series and he has become a staple mpreg and shifter author for me. I look forward to what comes next!
