Nick is used to making difficult calls in the name of family…except those family obligations weren’t supposed to come up against a smoking hot ranch manager, his enticing young husband, and the undeniable attraction that crackles between the three of them. Now Nick has to decide what’s more important: his responsibilities or his heart.
MICAH AVERY has always followed his heart and it’s gotten him everything he’s ever dreamed of. He’s married to his first love, his horse-training business is taking off, and life at the ranch couldn’t be better. But his perfect world is turned upside down with the arrival of Nick Lauder. Micah never expected his heart to lead him in this direction, but it hasn’t steered him wrong yet.
RYAN AVERY is still amazed by the happiness he’s found with Micah. But one thing he’s learned from his husband of three years, is that anything is possible. When Nick’s arrival opens up the opportunity for some no-strings-attached fun, Ryan is on board. Then the three of them click in ways that Ryan couldn’t have anticipated, and he starts to see possibilities he’d never dreamed of. Possibilities that just need to survive Nick’s real reason for being there.
Something Unexpected is an 80k, high-heat, MMM romance with a happily established couple finding their third, absolutely no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA. It’s the second book in the Split Rock Ranch series and is best enjoyed after book one.
REVIEW:
Please read Something Undeniable first it’s the story where Micah and Ryan get together.
It would be sad if you missed their sweet romance.
Ryan and Micah are already three years married and going steady, running the Split Rock Ranch, in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Nicholas is on his way to the Split Rock Ranch, over an almost impassable road, a pothole ends his ride.
From Nick’s first encounter with Micah, he felt something and was disappointed to hear he was married.
It’s been twenty years since the last time Nick been at the Split Rock Ranch, not since his mother died.
Now he’s thirty-four, divorced from Xavier, and cleaning up his father’s mess. He has business to finish at Split Rock Ranch, on the instructions of his dad. Business not in favor of Ryan and Micah, or his aunt Maggie who owns the ranch.
Meeting Ryan and Micah and seeing their hard work on the ranch, Nick doesn’t want to go through with his dads’ plans, it’s quite complicated.
While Micah and Ryan are very happy with each other and a perfect fit, as a couple, Nick seems to be the perfect addition to make it a threesome.
The chemistry between the three men was sensible and hot, their sexy encounters were quite appealing.
They are easygoing and mature with each other, well, Micah can be an adorable brat.
The buzz of the ranch, the people on it, the work that has to be done, the banter, it was just wonderful to follow. All animated pictured as if I was there with them. I could look around see and smell the ranch and nature.
Overall a captivatingly written story, with a lovely unexpected romance, it had a good flow, with lovable characters (except one!)
Looking forward to Xavier and Finn their story!
