Not every boy wants to be rescued. Not every Daddy is ready to take care of a boy. Not everyone gets what they want.
A fish-out-of-water, Red Riding Hood romance in the Bearytales in the Wood world.
Red felt he’d exchanged one prison for another. From the Kingdom water theme park to the Brenner brothers’ cabin. Only this one was worse. Everyone was happy and expected him to be too. He hated it and he hated them.
Harry didn’t know what to make of the new arrival in the Brenner household. The boy was rude to his family, which made everyone annoyed. The only time Red was happy was when he was in the stables. Which made him Harry’s problem as far as the family was concerned.
For Red, there was only one saving grace and that was the horses. They didn’t judge him and expect him to be grateful all the time. He just wanted to leave.
Harry didn’t know what to do with a resentful boy. The family expected him to step up and be Red’s Daddy. Harry just wanted to look after his horses so he could think about his future.
The path to a happy ever after was never going to be smooth, especially if the Daddy and boy didn’t want to be together. What would it take for Harry and Red to realize they were made for each other?
REVIEW:
Red was not gonna stay, no way. They took him from the one place he knew, now he’s stuck on a mountain with people he doesn’t want to be with.
On that mountain lives the Brenner family, 7 brothers all gay and a Daddy, some have found their forever boy, some not, and one doesn’t want to be a Daddy.
Saving Red and all the other kids from the Kingdom water theme park was a huge operation.
The Brenner’s cabin was the last place for Red to settle, but the boy doesn’t want to stay, he wants to go back, he doesn’t know anything else but the Kingdom park.
That horrible place kept kids locked up, just one meal a day, away from the world. When they turn eighteen there were two options, they were chosen or, they would end up dead, thrown away like garbage.
It seems the family decided unanimously that Harry should be Red’s daddy, Harry doesn’t want a boy and Red doesn’t want anything to do with the family. He finds his solace in the stables.
When Red escalates, Harry is ordered by his family to step up and be the Daddy a boy needs, even if it’s temporary.
It’s unavoidable but Harry catches feelings for Red, but Red will leave, spread his wings and fly, away. Little does he know.
This is my second read from this series and it’s again a very lovable read. A family who loves unconditionally, and who wants to do good. There are vulnerable boys and fair Daddies
The story was entertaining, endearing, and enough developed. Family is important so there’s a lot of story going into their interactions. A quite lovable read. I can’t wait to read Alec and Matt their story.
